00:00 The wife of former Finance Minister Dayim Zainuddin will be charged at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court tomorrow.

00:08 A source told FMT she will be charged under Section 36 of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act for failure to comply with a notice from the agency.

00:19 If found guilty, she can be jailed for up to five years and fined a maximum of RM100,000.

00:27 Earlier this month, the anti-graft agency summoned Naima and her sons, Amir Zainuddin and Amin Zainuddin, to provide information on assets belonging to the family.

00:38 In a statement later, MACC said its investigation into Dayim began in February 2023 and was based on information from the Pandora Papers leak, which linked several prominent Malaysians to offshore tax havens.

00:52 Last week, Naima hit out at a report linking her, Amir and Amin to another offshore trust said to possess up to US$52.5 million in assets as of 2020.

01:05 She maintained that their offshore assets were never a secret and that they were the result of legitimate business activities and investments.
