00:33 So, you know the deal but just to get people up to speed who maybe don't know who brandon johnson is he's a junior
00:40 He'll have one year of eligibility
00:42 It looks like once he gets to eugene listed at five foot ten 180 pounds on the duke roster
00:48 And this is a guy who was an all acc honorable mention in 2022
00:53 And that 2022 season he had five and a half sacks, which I believe was tied for the team lead
00:59 Which you don't hear from a defensive back all too often. He's originally from newton, north carolina
01:05 And um, I think this is a great addition for the ducks because as we saw last year
01:10 Coverage was an issue in the passing game. So that's just the short of it

01:17 Ryan, what are your thoughts off the top here?
01:20 Well, you love a safety that's been around that's been around long enough to have two different jersey numbers, you know, I mean
01:27 What I like about this is the transfer portal is a unique place, right?
01:34 It's a place where you can go and get certain things
01:36 That you can't really get in recruiting right out of the gate
01:40 And one of those things is the knowledge of playing safety and holding down the back
01:45 This guy flies around man, and you said it man
01:48 The sacks is what I looked at as soon as I put the film on tape
01:51 This guy's coming off the thing and putting no he's not running off the edge and going across
01:57 offensive tackles, but he's going up against oftentimes the
02:01 You know running back as they're trying to cover and he's manhandling his running backs and getting all over these quarterbacks
02:06 So I I love his tape the tape jumps off
02:09 The page and again, I just I like what I see
02:13 Uh when you when you look at it the big thing also duke has been a good team, you know, I think people always kind of
02:20 I don't know if they
02:23 They get into the basketball school versus they can't they can't see kentucky for a good football team
02:27 Sometimes they can't see duke for a good football team
02:29 Sometimes they get locked in the thing and duke has steadily been one of the better teams in the acc lately
02:35 And if you look at a guy like him, he's been a very productive member of their team from what i've seen
02:41 And of course everybody when you put the film on everybody looks good because it's just your highlight reels
02:45 But you know duke has been a team that I think has been
02:48 Steadily getting better and better and it's been on the defensive side that they've been really impressive now for oregon
02:53 Oregon needs help on the safety you need this
02:56 This is a classic example of like who a guy like evan williams be able to come in and give you something on day one
03:02 This guy's going to be able to come in and give you something on day one from my perspective as a guy who I like

03:08 Uh the way I like to play football the way I like to see football being played this guy
03:11 Plays with aggression this guy wants to make the tackle
03:15 He wants to make the hit and I think that that's the other thing. I love his uh body language on the field
03:20 Uh, I love his energy and what you can see that he brings to the table the ducks need so again
03:26 Dan lanning and and company has done nothing but check every single box that you need to
03:32 And I think it's also something to be said
03:36 That you're doing this
03:38 Uh at a time where you're also switching gears with the coaching staff a little bit in that side, right?
03:42 So with coach martin out coach hampton over to that side
03:45 So it's like, you know, you you you're doing all of this bringing in all these guys with coach movement
03:50 I mean, I just I think that they're managing this thing beautifully
