Marinade:
- 10 oz chicken (boneless chicken thighs here)
- 3 Tbsp soy sauce
- 1 piece of ginger
- 1 small garlic clove
- 2 Tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp (+/-) neutral oil (for cooking)
Sauce:
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup mirin
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp cornstarch
Rice:
- 3/4 cup basmati rice
- 1 cup water
To decorate:
- fresh chives
- black and white sesame seeds
