Billie Eilish and Finneas have earned their second Oscar nomination for their track “What Was I Made For,” Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt have been nominated for “I’m Just Ken” but there are a few musicians and actors that are noticeably missing from this year’s nominations. Jennifer Lopez has been nominated for a Razzie for her role in ‘The Mother.’ Rihanna had the ultimate fan girl moment when she met Natalie Portman for the first time. Common and Jennifer Hudson seemingly confirm their relationship on ‘The Jennifer Hudson Show.’ On a recent episode of ‘The Breakfast Club’ Charlamagne Da God and DJ Envy cleared the air after DJ Envy called SZA “… this generation’s Mary (J. Blige).” And more!

00:00 The Oscar nominations are here! JLo flops, J-Huds got a man and Rihanna fangirls.
00:06 We hang out with Flavor Flames. They compare Mary J. Blige to who?
00:11 And we learn about Yvonne Cornejo.
00:13 It's Tetris, it's Tuesday and it's January 23rd.
00:20 Welcome to Billboard News. Now it is spicy in these music streets.
00:24 But before we get into the tea of the day, let's jump over to the movie biz for the Oscar noms.
00:30 Billie Eilish may earn her second Oscar while everyone notices a
00:33 major snub. Here are your 2024 Oscar nominations.
00:37 Billie Eilish and Finneas earned their second Oscar nomination for "What Was I Made For."
00:46 If she takes home the trophy for best original song,
00:49 that will make her a two-time Oscar winner at just the age of 22.
00:54 But she'll have to beat out Jon Batiste and Dan Wilson, Scott George, Diane Warren,
00:59 who received her 15th nomination but has yet to win,
01:03 and fellow Barbie soundtrack writers Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt.
01:07 Noticeably missing from the category, Dua Lipa's "Dance the Night."
01:11 And the most talked about snub of this year's Oscars is Margot Robbie not
01:19 getting a Best Actress nomination. Ryan Gosling did get nominated for Best Supporting Actor,
01:25 which begs the question, did the Academy miss the message of the film?
01:28 Barbie got a total of eight nominations,
01:31 including Best Picture and a Supporting Actress nod for America Ferreira.
01:35 You can see who takes home trophies March 10th on ABC
01:38 and head to Billboard.com to see the full list of nominations.
01:42 And now that we have that out of the way, here's three things you should know.
01:47 "You are one of the hottest b*tches in Hollywood forever."
01:51 How cute was this viral video of Rihanna praising Natalie Portman at the Dior fashion show during
01:58 Paris Fashion Week? We love queens supporting queens. And from this to Zayn's run over foot,
02:03 Paris Fashion Week is giving us content, baby.
02:07 JLo had everybody talking when she released a trailer for her visual project,
02:11 "This Is Me Now." But what's got her in the news today is what acting of hers wasn't appreciated.
02:17 The Razzies have nominated her for Worst Actress for her role in Netflix's "The Mother."
02:22 But honestly, in the film, she was mothering. I think it was fine. Well, for a movie in which
02:27 Jennifer Lopez is a deadly assassin who needs to protect the daughter she gave up for adoption.
02:31 And it gets no cuter than revealing your relationship on national TV.
02:36 I'll hand it over to Common.
02:37 "Set my standard kinda high, 'cause she had to have an E-Guy.
02:40 She had to win an Oscar on her first movie.
02:45 I set my standard high. She had to get her own talk show.
02:47 On your own show, girl? He did that. Now they're commenting Jennifer Hudson, our official. I'm
02:54 already over here like, where's the music? We need the material. Power couple, indeed.
03:00 And the news doesn't stop there. When it comes to the queens of R&B, there is a debate brewing.
03:05 Charlamagne and DJ Envy are in hot water for comparing SZA to Mary J. Blige.
03:10 When I look at SZA, I look at, and I don't want to compare.
03:13 No, I get what you're saying. That's what I mean.
03:16 The way, we had our Mary J. Blige.
03:20 Right, that's what I was gonna compare. She is this generation's head on.
03:23 Yesterday on The Breakfast Club, Charlamagne and Envy were talking about how talented
03:28 they think SZA is and how they believe she doesn't get the recognition she deserves.
03:32 Do we respect and support her as we should, as the star that she is? I don't think people do.
03:37 That's why I asked the question.
03:38 Music, yes, but as the star that she is, no.
03:43 Yeah, she's not on the proper pedestal, I think she should be.
03:48 She should be the bar for a lot of people.
03:50 But folks online are taking issue with the SZA/Mary J. Blige comparison.
03:55 Some think SZA hasn't reached Mary J.'s level yet,
03:58 while others said they just make different types of music.
04:01 Well, Charlamagne and DJ Envy heard them and they addressed those comments today.
04:06 Let the record show, I never said SZA was this generation's Mary J. Blige.
04:10 DJ Envy said that.
04:11 Yeah.
04:12 All I said was, I'm not sure we appreciate SZA the way we should,
04:16 but she is one of them and by them I mean she is clearly on her way to being an all-time great.
04:22 Okay, the jealousy is real.
04:24 Run, you got to hang out with my brother Flavor Flav. Let's check it out.
04:28 Song now transposed into like 30 different languages.
04:32 This song is Spanish.
04:34 I was bugging out because I'm like, wow, listen to my voice in Spanish.
04:38 Listen to my voice in…
04:41 Korean.
04:41 Like Korean.
04:43 That's so cool.
04:44 Yeah, you know, and I never ever thought that I would be speaking Korean.
04:48 You know what I'm saying? But hey, thanks to AI and not only that, but I'm glad that
05:00 this is happening because AI has been misused so much, you know, and there's a lot of people
05:06 that's not using it correctly, so I feel that I'm one of the first ones to show the example of AI
05:14 being used. Out of the Swifties, they got together and they sent me a few presents.
05:18 Yeah.
05:19 So this shirt happens to be one of them and we turn around.
05:24 It's your eras.
05:25 Yeah, you all see that?
05:27 Look at that.
05:27 Hold on, let me hold this up.
05:28 So thank you, thank you all of my fellow Swifties.
05:32 You know what I'm saying?
05:35 He has his own era.
05:36 Thank you all my fellow Swifties.
05:38 Is there an album era of hers that you're very into?
05:41 1989.
05:42 Yeah, I think that's all of us right now.
05:44 1989, you know what I'm saying? I ain't gonna lie. She's, yo, she's bad with it.
05:48 She really is.
05:49 I don't care what nobody say. She's one of the most, most important and influential artists
05:55 of our time right now.
05:56 100%.
05:57 Breaking records. I don't know no other artist, man, that can draw a crowd and hit
06:03 director scale with it. Come on.
06:05 For the full interview, hit Billboard.com.
06:08 Hey, what's up guys? It's Ivan Cornejo and here's five things you guys probably didn't
06:12 know about me.
06:13 The first one is I hate olives. I'm allergic to mushrooms. If I wasn't a singer, I would
06:27 have been working to try to be an actor. I love history. I love watching like old documentaries
06:34 about like war and stuff and just learning about the past. And I love Michael Jackson.
06:39 And those are five things you probably didn't know about me.
06:43 You did it, Joe. Thanks for hanging. Tomorrow's show we get some one-on-one time with Don Omar.
06:49 See you then on Billboard News.
