00:03 I'm going to miss you.
00:06 We had a lot of fun together.
00:08 It was sad to see him go, because we've just
00:11 had him for so long.
00:14 Bolt came to us when he was just a tiny puppy.
00:17 And throughout time, he became my wrestling buddy.
00:21 At least I know he's going to a great family.
00:25 I've been helping shelter dogs since I was about four years
00:28 old.
00:29 That's when I learned that if dogs don't get homes,
00:33 that they have to go to heaven.
00:35 And to my four-year-old mind, I was just like, oh, well,
00:40 let's just fix that.
00:41 So with the support of my mom, we
00:43 would go to the shelter to make videos
00:44 to help the dogs get adopted.
00:46 There's a dog here.
00:48 Hi, everyone.
00:49 This is my friend Rosalinda.
00:50 She's 13 years old.
00:52 Oh, thank you.
00:53 And she was a super nerd.
00:55 So she's in need of a home.
00:57 She's really sweet.
00:59 Hi, everyone.
01:00 When we go to the shelter, usually we
01:02 try to focus on the dogs that are more scared or shut down.
01:06 So we're scared, and I'm upset.
01:08 Some of the shelter dogs end up in our home,
01:10 where we foster them until we find them a family.
01:13 After the first year of us making videos,
01:25 we started Project Freedom Run to transport the dogs
01:27 from high-kill areas in Texas up to places like Washington,
01:31 where there are more adopters but less dogs.
01:34 And since 2015, we've been able to help more than 4,800 dogs,
01:39 mainly from transports, videos, and fostering.
01:41 When we first got Bolt, it was summer break.
01:44 So I was able to spend a lot of time with him.
01:47 All right, so I got Bolt out here, nice and early,
01:50 so he can come out and play with the other dogs
01:53 for a little bit and wrestle with them,
01:55 because that is his favorite thing to do.
01:58 [MUSIC PLAYING]
02:01 All right, so let's get Bolt some food.

02:23 You can go for a nice walk.
02:26 [MUSIC PLAYING]
02:28 Since today is Bolt's last day with us,
02:32 we want to make it super special for him
02:34 by getting him his favorite treat from a drive-thru.
02:37 What can I get for you?
02:39 Do you guys have any treats for dogs?
02:42 Can I ask if we have chili cheese dogs?
02:44 [MUSIC PLAYING]
02:47 Well, he enjoyed it.
02:50 [MUSIC PLAYING]
02:52 Today I'm going to miss you, Bolt.
02:55 You're going to have a great time with your new family.
02:58 All right, buddy, this is it.
03:00 We're here.
03:01 This is your new house.

03:06 My dad and a family friend, Sarah,
03:10 drove Bolt from Georgia to Florida,
03:13 where he met his forever family.
03:15 Got somebody.
03:15 [BARKING]
03:15 Easy, easy.
03:16 [BARKING]
03:17 Hello.
