00:00You could tell that he didn't think he was going with anybody.
00:04So many people had walked by his kennel and passed him by.
00:10You could just see how badly he needed out.
00:14Something about him just spoke to me and I felt horrible for him.
00:20I was at the shelter that day for the sole purpose of rescuing Mr. Magoo.
00:24Once he knew he was getting out, his eyes lit up and he was so happy.
00:36We left the shelter.
00:41I wanted to foster Mr. Magoo because I am just a sucker for the underdog
00:45and he was very much an underdog.
00:49When he first came home with me, he was really sweet but very mellow.
00:54He was very sick so he didn't do much. He mostly just slept.
01:02He had a really bad skin condition.
01:04So to make him feel better, he had multiple baths every week to help soothe the skin a little bit.
01:11Took him about a week to start feeling a little bit better
01:14and then he slowly started to have more energy.
01:16He's comical. I don't know how else to describe him.
01:20The tongue is out all the time.
01:24When we discovered that he loves fruits and vegetables,
01:26we were just so excited that he's a nice healthy eater and we thought,
01:30well, you know what we should do?
01:31We need to have a little picnic.
01:33We decided to put together the barcooterie board for him.
01:41He just went bananas for it.
01:48Carrot, biscuit.
01:50It is really rewarding when you rescue a dog like Mr. Magoo,
01:55who was probably just kept outside 24-7 for the first few years of his life.
02:00So it's like he was experiencing anything and everything for the very first time.
