00:00 Chipotle is planning to hire up to 19,000 employees to prepare for its burrito season and is targeting Gen Z by helping with retirement and student loan debt.
00:08 To attract more workers during its busiest time of the year, Chipotle is offering notable perks like enhanced benefits and an employee assistance program.
00:14 For Gen Z, that means once they become eligible for the company's 401(k) plan, Chipotle will match up to 4% of their salary in contributions when those workers make student loan payments.
00:24 Both private and federal loans are eligible for the student loan match program.
00:27 For example, if an employee has a monthly loan payment of $150, Chipotle will contribute $150 to their 401(k).
00:34 This will continue until the contributions reach 4% of the worker's annual salary.
00:38 Employees will become eligible for the benefits after one year, provided they have worked 1,000 hours.
00:43 Chipotle also says it's increasing access to mental health resources and giving workers tools to manage their financial wellness and build credit.
