00:05 talk about Zay Flowers and the game that he had.

00:19 And a lot of people said, I don't know the weather

00:22 And Mark Andrews is coming back and I'm like,
00:24 Mark Andrews, by the way, was like a shell of himself.
00:26 He was not a hundred percent in this game.
00:28 And I'm sure, I'm not sure why coaches do that sometimes.
00:30 But anyway, I say all that to say that
00:33 I had a former NFL player text me during the game.
00:36 And I'm just going to put it out there as is.
00:38 I'm not going to provide any commentary on it.
00:40 But he said to me, Zay Flowers is a me guy.
00:44 Said, what do you mean?
00:45 He goes, you never, ever lunge and dive for the end zone
00:49 unless it's fourth down.
00:50 And I thought about that.
00:54 And I mentioned it to a couple of other
00:55 former collegiate level football and NFL players
00:57 that I know and I said, yeah, that's right.
00:59 You don't dive for the end zone unless it's fourth down.
01:02 Like that's a, I want to get the touchdown thing,
01:04 not I want to preserve the ball and everything else.
01:07 Because look what happens when you dive.
01:09 You put ball security at risk.
01:11 Now, I'm not saying that's the reason
01:12 the Ravens lost the game,
01:13 but it certainly was the biggest moment of the game
01:18 for him not to get in the end zone there.
01:20 - Interesting. Okay.
01:21 You know what?
01:22 I agree with that kind of philosophy
01:26 in playing the sport of football,
01:27 especially because the risk you're taking
01:29 if you fumble the ball and it goes out of bounds,
01:31 we've seen it how many times now?
01:32 We actually talked about,
01:34 do they need to change that rule?
01:36 But Mark, a lot of guys have that issue.
01:39 I think a lot of guys are technically, you know,
01:42 quote unquote, me guys in terms of diving for the end zone.
01:45 Zay Flowers being one of them is what it sounds like.
01:49 And yeah, maybe some other guys need to kind of
01:51 read that handbook, so to speak.
