00:00 for five minutes of discussion.
00:02 Thank you, Mr Chairman.
00:04 We just have to make it clear to the American people.
00:06 These allegations are really about one man's petty, petty grievances.
00:14 He didn't win the last election.
00:16 He was blown out by 70 plus electoral votes and 7 million plus popular votes.
00:22 And now he has to continue the insurrection that he led on January 6th
00:27 by trying to get rid of the Secretary of Homeland Security today
00:31 so that he can worsen the crisis at the border and weaponize it
00:34 rather than govern and solve it.
00:36 It really is the serious harm that has been done to our country.
00:40 And that serious harm comes in the manner of the testimony
00:44 that we've heard in dozens of hearings in this committee,
00:47 that we've heard from people who have sheriffs from our local communities,
00:54 the state level authorities and others.
00:57 My time has expired here.
00:58 The point is, serious harm has occurred.
01:01 This isn't a policy issue.
01:03 This is failure to comply with laws that are on the books,
01:06 which is why we are proceeding with the impeachment of Alejandro Mayorkas.
