Inflation rate projected to settle within 2.8%-3.6% range in January

00:00 The Banco Central ng Pilipinas or BSP expects the inflation rate to settle within the 2.8% to 3.6% range in January.
00:08 This due to higher prices of agricultural products to include rice, meat, fruit and fish
00:14 and rising costs of petroleum products, electricity, water, syntax and the weakening of the peso against the greenback.
00:22 Meanwhile, lower prices of vegetables and sugar can slow down inflation.
00:26 The Central Bank assured to continuously monitor inflation rate to give an appropriate monetary policy decision.
