00:00 Thousands of workers are waiting in Israel for foreign workers, including Filipinos.

00:08 After the war broke out and the Hamas group attacked Israel,

00:20 more than 400 OFWs volunteered to return to the Philippines.

00:24 The Israeli government has allowed up to 10,000 foreign workers to leave because of the war.

00:32 This is an addition to the thousands of jobs that Palestinians used to do.

00:36 Because we do not allow now the Palestinians who used to work in Israel from Gaza, 20,000,

00:42 they cannot come into Israel, it's a war zone.

00:44 And much less are coming from the West Bank.

00:47 We are seeking globally to bring more workers to Israel

00:50 and we are offering the same thing also to the Philippines.

00:53 But it depends on the Philippine government.

00:55 The problem is that Israel is in alert level 2,

00:58 so new workers are not allowed to be deployed there.

01:01 The Israelis and Filipinos want to get vacancies.

01:07 Even before October 7, Israelis prefer to have as caregivers Filipinos.

01:15 Israelis very much like Filipinos.

01:17 You know, English speaking, Filipinos are the kindest people in the world.

01:22 Aside from the caregivers, there are many vacancies in the sector of hotel industry, agriculture, and construction.

01:29 We asked for the reaction of the DMW and DFA, but they have not yet confirmed

01:33 when the alert level 2 status of Israel can be lifted.

01:36 According to Dole, even if the labor force of the country remains in the country,

01:41 thousands of job vacancies in Israel are a big deal.
