Analyzing what winning the Super Bowl would mean for the San Francisco 49ers.

00:00 If the 49ers win the Super Bowl, what would that mean for them?
00:04 - Oh man, it would prove everything right. Every decision that they've made that has
00:10 been questioned, Grant, would be proven right. Kyle sticking with Brock Purdy,
00:16 calling him the real deal, thinking that he's enough to get them a Super Bowl.
00:21 It would make that decision right. Trading everything that they did to go get CMC,
00:27 it would make that decision right. Steve Wilkes coming from the booth onto the field,
00:32 that decision's right. Trading for guys like Chase Young and Randy Gregory, all of it. And then
00:38 running CMC, what we thought was a bit ragged for big chunks of the season, everything would be
00:45 proven right. Every little thing that was questioned throughout this year, all is for
00:51 naught. And everything that they did all led to a Super Bowl victory. And I think, I don't know if
00:59 Kyle's legacy as far as the fan base grows, but anytime you win a Super Bowl, I mean, that's,
01:07 if you want to be a Hall of Fame coach, you're going to have to have at least one of those on
01:11 your resume. Probably more than that. And I think Kyle wants to not only get himself in the Hall
01:19 of Fame, but somehow thinks winning would get his dad into the Hall of Fame as well. And I think that
01:25 that's what he's after. So getting that first one will help build that Hall of Fame resume that he's
01:31 searching for. That's what a win would mean. - I would agree. It'd be so big for him. You
01:35 could look back and sort of blame Jimmy Garoppolo for the first loss, and lost the NEC championship
01:41 game in 2020. You could just blame him for all of that. And then last year, well, maybe they would
01:46 have beaten the Eagles if Brock Purdy had been healthy. That's what they kept saying. Maybe they
01:51 would have. Maybe it was a fluke. And then maybe you think if they win it this year, they're the
01:58 team to beat next year too. This really is a juggernaut that could be a dynasty. Talking
02:05 dynasty if they win one. The window's wide open. So yeah, it would validate so much of their
02:11 narrative that they've been pushing all for years that, "Hey, we're the best in the league,
02:15 even though we haven't proven it yet. We just had some bad luck, some unfortunate stuff.
02:19 Just wait." It would validate all that. And it would pretty much put me out of business. I would
02:24 have to end my YouTube career. - For some reason, I don't see that happening. You know what else
02:31 it would mean? We would start to ask, "Is John Lynch going to stick around?" And if he's not,
02:40 who's the new general manager for this team? Because Adam Peters just walked and went to
02:45 DC. And I think that listening to the way that Lynch has talked, I know that he just got this
02:52 massive extension. But he really wants a ring. And he's going to stick around seemingly until he gets
03:00 that ring. If the 49ers do win one, does he really want to? Or does he say, "All right,
03:07 I've got it. I've done what I came to do. I'm going to take the easier route. I'm going back
03:12 to TV. Good luck." And then who becomes the GM? And I think that wondering what happens to John
03:18 Lynch is a big part of this if they do win. And I think Trent Williams, I know he said he wouldn't
03:22 retire, but I mean, you're 35. You've got a ring now. Are you sure about that? I don't know.
03:28 - I see what you mean. Some people could ride off into the sunset. Lynch, Trent Williams. Yep. I
03:36 can see that. If they win the Super Bowl, Brock Purdy is going to get so much money in about
03:42 14 months. - Oh yeah. Deservedly so.
03:46 - So much money. Yeah. That guy is going to be the highest paid player in the league. And he's
03:51 going to be on the cover of Madden. He's going to be the face. I already think he is the face of the
03:56 NFL. I think it's Mahomes. He's on every commercial and stuff, but Purdy's right there. If he beats
04:04 Mahomes, he already led the league. I mean, the NFL and pro ball voting. Become a very famous
04:10 person. - Oh, absolutely. But please,
04:12 no Madden covers. We don't need that curse around here. It's not good to be on a Madden cover.
04:19 - No. - Only bad things happen.
04:21 But I think you're right. I mean, I do think that he starts to become one of the faces of the NFL.
04:29 Absolutely. Absolutely. - Absolutely. If he isn't already.
04:33 -
