00:00 Tetris and Rania at the Grammys hanging out with Skrillex somebody that already won. Congratulations. Thank you very much. Appreciate you
00:07 Yeah, so after all these years, what is the key to a long-lasting career?
00:11 I think just constantly being a student and like
00:15 If you master something
00:16 Then go to the next thing and like start again and suck and get the suck who bear one of the greatest songwriters told me
00:22 You got to get the suck out. Oh, okay. I'm new and like it's part of it until it's good
00:27 It's gonna suck a bit and like you just continue to push yourself and and learn and be a student never think you're above anybody
00:33 And listen to the what young kids are making and yeah, well you said
00:37 Oh, go ahead. I was about to say it's just the yin and the yang of like learning to fail so that you can succeed
00:41 You know totally and it's like, you know
00:44 We don't no one knows everything and there's always something to learn and if you can
00:48 Continue to like open those humbling experiences and like willfully go through that. I
00:54 Always end up somewhere cool, you know, whether it's here or whether it's more in front of crowds
00:59 Like you'll always end up in like the right place if you work hard and learn
01:02 And you were saying like see what the kids are doing
01:05 So that made me think like who are the nominees out there some of the younger crop that you've been watching
01:09 We got your eye on them. I mean we got to give up to my man Fred again
01:12 I mean, he's you know, he's got he's killing. He's got a lot of nominations this year, too. And and
01:17 He's really pushing music in a new direction, which is so exciting. I mean, there's so many kids
01:22 I was in Brazil for for three weeks this year working on with like, you know artists like Quagos and our HR and
01:29 jazmay and swatch and
01:31 You know a lot of amazing talent Jotie a heart of dream
01:35 Christian a lot of international sounds and coming to dance music now like a lot of the Brazilian a lot of the South Asian
01:40 Diaspora like Indian Sri Lankan Pakistani music's coming to dance music. So you're like like that's where all the new stuff is happening right now
01:49 Yeah, that's what I was about to ask too is like now that you see the kind of the future of dance going
01:54 Do you think it's gonna incorporate more global? Is that the trend that you're seeing?
01:57 Absolutely, I think like production tools are getting more accessible
02:02 So it's easier for people with less access in countries to like make finished music
02:06 It doesn't matter really where you are right now. So you're starting to hear a lot of cool blends. So it's exciting time
02:12 I gotta say skrillex your energy is so chill. Are you always like this or this like I just won and I'm at the Grammys
02:17 I try to keep it chill, you know, like there's so much chaos that you gotta practice that, you know
02:22 I gotta I gotta get a little run in the morning. So I felt good. I got to like clear my head
02:27 I love it. Well congratulations. I think you're centering us both. Yeah, we're like, thank you for the peace
02:33 Congratulations
02:38 - Yeah, have a cool one guys. - You too.
