$1000 fuel and EV win: Australia finally unveils vehicle efficiency standards

Drivers will save about $1000 a year under proposed fuel efficiency standards set to slice emissions of Australia's new cars and utes by 60% and accelerate the transition to greener vehicles like electric cars, in line with standards in most other developed economies.
