Linebacker Deven Bryant discussed his freshman year progress at the UW.

00:00 We saw a lot of you early and then you used your quota.
00:03 >> Right, sure.
00:04 >> And they're saving you cuz they really like,
00:07 they tell us they really like what they see.
00:09 >> Yes, sir.
00:10 >> Tell me how it's gone for you.
00:11 >> It's been a good experience for me.
00:13 I came in, had to do a lot of learning.
00:16 Really had to hone in on the playbook and
00:20 learn more about run fits and things of that nature.
00:23 So I would say it was a really good experience for me,
00:25 especially learning from guys like Eddie, Zoe, and Carson and
00:28 Rayland, they really helped me come a long way throughout the spring,
00:32 all the way up to this point.
00:34 >> Now every one of those guys, except maybe Carson,
00:36 I think is probably a question mark.
00:38 I mean, they're either graduating or they might go.
00:40 Zoe said he doesn't even know what he's gonna do.
00:43 Cuz he's gonna be a six year guy, I don't know if he wants to do that.
00:46 So you're ready to go in the mix, I mean, no matter what happens, it appears so.
00:51 With your playing time and you got a bunch of tackles and
00:55 you really got a chance to taste it, you must be ready to go when spring comes.
00:59 >> Yeah, I'll be ready to go.
01:00 I'm looking forward to getting out there competing and
01:03 just putting my best foot forward and
01:04 just getting ready to go with all the rest of the linebackers.
01:07 >> Now can you picture a day when there's Devon Bryant and
01:10 House next to each other in the second row again?
01:13 >> Say it again?
01:14 >> When Kamori House shows up and- >> He's gonna be here in January, so
01:17 I'm looking forward to seeing my boy Kamori House get up here and
01:20 we can do some big things on my league.
01:21 >> Yeah, maybe someday you guys will be side by side.
01:24 >> Yes, sir, for sure.
01:25 >> Playing a huge role.
01:27 So is it exciting?
01:28 You're going into the Big Ten, which the Pac-12 is pretty good,
01:32 with USC and UCLA, you know that from being an LA guy.
01:34 But now it's even a step up as far as how they consider the conferences.
01:38 Are you excited about that?
01:40 Cuz it's really going to a big stage.
01:41 >> I am excited.
01:42 You got a lot of teams from all over the country coming into one big collective
01:47 conference, I'm looking forward to playing some Big Ten football.

01:53 >> It's possible.
01:54 Because your eligibility doesn't matter anymore?
