A woman who committed to losing weight after not being able to get down on the floor to play with her toddler nephew has now lost a staggering 190 pounds. 29-year-old Anna Maddox, from Carrollton, Georgia, U.S.A., weighed around 450 pounds when she was at her heaviest, having been diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome and insulin resistance when she was 16. The latter condition, Anna said, is hormonal and severely affects weight gain and makes it extremely difficult to lose weight – something she has struggled with her whole teenage and adult life. This also caused Anna to suffer from depression, high blood pressure and thyroid issues. But an encounter with her nephew, Brenley, started off her biggest weight loss journey, and Anna lost an amazing 190 pounds in around a year.
