Global megastars are the latest additions at Blackpool's Madame Tussauds.

00:15 and she's also a global Merlin figure.
00:19 So she's in London, she's in the U.S., so it was only right
00:22 that we brought her here, and I think her and Gaga would have
00:25 been voted from the public as people
00:27 that they really wanted to see in Blackpool.
00:29 We do currently have a Lady Gaga,
00:31 so this is an updated version of her, a more like current
00:36 depiction of how she is now.
00:38 Gaga's is based off a red carpet look that she wore,
00:40 and Beyonce's is a recreation
00:43 of her Renaissance album launch party look.
00:45 But figures are often in donated outfits.
00:51 For example, KSI, his hoodie has been donated from his team,
00:57 so it's a real replica that people can come and see.

01:07 We're here to maintain them here in Blackpool,
01:10 and I think because I trained in makeup and hair,
01:13 it's really nice to bring those skills into a different medium,
01:16 so to kind of touch up the paint work and to style the hair
01:20 and just maintain it so it's perfect
01:22 for when our guests come and see them.
01:24 It's a special kind of oil paint that we use for the figures,
01:27 and that's a kind of custom mixed and color match
01:30 to how they are in real life, and obviously the makeup
01:33 that they would wear.

01:45 Collectively, it takes about 800 hours to create a figure
01:49 from sculpting, casting the wax, painting, hair insertion,
01:54 and styling, and final touches.

02:05 From a makeup artist point of view,
02:07 it's all about color matching and getting
02:09 that kind of right balance.
02:10 This A-list room was created last year with a real sense
02:14 to bring Hollywood to Blackpool and create that kind
02:17 of vibe and drama.

02:25 of bringing that glitz and glamour here as well
