Gus & Louise Maher outline the program for the 4th annual Newcastle Food Month that runs throughout April.

00:01 Hi everyone, I'm Gus Marr from Newcastle Food Monk and this is Louise Marr.
00:06 We're the creators, curators and managers of Newcastle Food Monk and it is now entering
00:12 its fourth year which is pretty special to us.
00:15 This year, humbly we believe it's our best year ever.
00:19 It is, and the highlights of the program certainly reflect that.
00:23 We've got new kids on the block coming along, Ravella are pairing up with Alpi's, another
00:28 great venue in Newcastle, bringing lots of Hunter Valley wine to the city.
00:34 There's lots of collaborations happening and also some hatted restaurants coming back
00:39 again, the Petilla is always a highlight of the program.
00:43 And of course, some hidden gems.
00:45 We've got some great little cafes around the city that people are yet to discover.
00:50 So really looking forward to bringing alive those hidden gems.
00:54 And the thing we like to really emphasise about the program is plate date.
00:58 For $30 you get a meal, breakfast, lunch or dinner with a beverage.
01:02 Could be a coffee, could be a mimosa, could be a glass of wine.

01:10 And then of course there's that Le Diner en Blanc, the sweetener of the program, our
