00:25 who's potentially a gold jacket later on, you know,
00:27 in his career here.
00:28 But like you got to, like, it's such a,
00:32 it's such a reliance on the quarterback
00:36 because at some point, you know,
00:38 you can have the best play in the world,
00:40 but if something breaks down, you have to protect yourself
00:43 and giving yourself the opportunity to do so,
00:46 then falls on the offensive coordinator.
00:48 What I mean is like, in this situation,
00:50 this is a really hard spot for the quarterback to be like,
00:53 oh God, I can't go left, I can't go right,
00:55 I can't go straight.
00:56 I'm running out of time to even go down
00:58 because again, I'm in between the tackles.
01:00 You know, what you'd like to see is like,
01:02 you know, we'll get into it.
01:04 There's some sprint out stuff where the quarterback
01:06 has the option to pass it and run it, right?
01:08 When he's getting out of the pocket
01:09 and trying to really move the pocket.
01:11 I really like like that read that we showed
01:14 on that last play where you're creating a numbers advantage
01:18 to one side so that, hey, if something looks,
01:22 if it looks good, you know,
01:23 your eyes aren't gonna deceive you, okay?
01:25 So like, hey, if my read tells me to go,
01:28 I'm going because there's numbers there
01:29 and you can really protect yourself there.
01:31 Like the straight design runs,
01:33 like where the quarterback has no other option,
01:36 I think if I'm Kevin Stefanski,
01:37 that's the first thing I'm throwing out of the playbook.
01:39 Like, we're not even gonna have that
01:41 because for our guy, he's not getting up from this hit.
01:44 You know, he's just not gonna get up from that hit
01:47 or get up healthy, you know?
01:49 So it's like, hey, you have to give him another out.
01:51 Whether that out is throwing the ball
01:52 or whether that out is handing it off on a run,
01:54 like he has to have a two-way go at all times.
01:57 - That's a good way to look at it.
01:59 And again, Josh Allen might be able to get away
02:02 with more of that type of stuff, the design QB runs.
02:05 I think for the Browns,
02:06 it might be something they should be wary of.
02:08 I think that's a good perspective to have.
