Teens found guilty of stabbing murder of 16-year-old in Melbourne

Four teenagers have been found guilty of murder over the stabbing death of a 16-year-old outside a party in Melbourne’s north. The victim was stabbed dozens of times in an incident captured by CCTV cameras.

00:13 know Declan. Declan's death occurred in March 2022 after a party in Melbourne's north. His
00:20 attackers ambushed him, kicking and stabbing him relentlessly before leaving him to die
00:25 on the footpath. The entire incident was captured on security footage. Today, four of those
00:31 involved were found guilty of murder after a judge-only trial before Justice Rita Inserti.
00:38 Last year, another gang member was jailed for 15 years and two others were also imprisoned
00:43 for their involvement. The case highlighted two key issues confronting the Victorian
00:48 justice system - teenage gangs and knife crime. The teenagers found guilty today will be
00:55 sentenced at a later date. None of Declan's attackers can be identified for legal reasons
