Andrey “Rublo” Rublev wrote his name into the record books as the first-ever two-time UTS champion. He beat Alex “The Demon” de Minaur 14-16, 17-10, 16-13, 20-12 to lift the famous lightning-bolt trophy as the winner of UTS Oslo. It was the first time that two former UTS champions had met beyond the Final Four. After going two quarters to one up, Rublev admitted on the courtside microphone that he was having to work his hardest to get the better of the Australian. And he kept that up into the fourth quarter, winning four points in a row at one stage. The Demon refused to be counted out, though, wheeling out another brilliant forehand cross-court to stay in touch. But Rublo’s smart use of the bonus card with 30 seconds left on the clock gave him a six-point lead.

00:00 Here in Oslo, the hitting was sensational, they were ripping the ball
00:05 and then when it came to precision, that was the point
00:09 Right in the corner and right...
00:12 Oh, what a shot!
00:19 Two long!
00:22 Ding, ding, ding!
00:43 Oh, what a shot!
00:46 Yes! Good shot, come on!
00:54 8-7, De Duma
00:59 Well, a different return from Andre Ruble
01:10 and back to what we would say is pretty normal stuff
01:13 for the world number 5, not much room there at the back of the court
01:17 12-11, Wobro
01:35 De Duma!
01:38 He's had that going all day long, all week long
01:57 Alex Dimonov, when he closes in
02:01 into the full court with such controlled precision
02:05 Oh, that was very deep in the court from Dimonov
02:13 Oh, what a shot!
02:16 Oh! Feisty!
02:34 No way, it's in!
02:38 It was complete!
02:41 It is in, Jenny!
02:44 Alex Dimonov has just won
02:47 the most incredible rally here in Oslo
02:50 The hitting was sensational, they were ripping the ball
02:54 and then when it came to precision, that was the point
02:58 Right in the corner and right on time
03:02 You know what hasn't happened twice? Nobody's ever won UTS twice
03:06 You're a one-time champion
03:08 Alex will be the second one
03:10 Oh!
03:12 What do you think, Alex? He's backing you
03:15 That's what you call reverse psychology
03:21 We shall see, thank you guys
03:26 Oh, wow!
03:37 He took it! He took it!
03:39 I get the funny feeling that something is bubbling inside Andrei Rublev here
03:45 Oh, that's great stuff from Alex Dimonov
04:08 Second quarter, 18-10
04:11 17 is another goal on this occasion
04:17 He was thinking about defeat
04:26 which he hasn't had to do
04:30 Oh, well played!
04:37 Oh, nice shot!
04:40 Yes! You can do it!
04:56 7-5 to Dimon
05:03 With the serve
05:05 Oh, it's wide, I think
05:08 What a great shot!
05:23 8-2
05:25 When you have it, I want to hear you
05:28 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I know
05:30 I know who was that
05:32 As always, picking it up
05:35 So good from Andrei Rublev
05:49 Painting the lines
05:52 Triple figures
05:59 100
06:00 Well, he's got the crowd on his side now
06:12 Goal was complete
06:20 Andrei Rublev is out in front in this UTS Oslo final
06:26 He leads by two quarters to one
06:29 Alex, how close are you to exploding after that nice little wind down the clock from Andrei?
06:34 Oh, that was very, very dodgy
06:38 I mean, he is a nice guy and all, but that was very bad
06:44 That was bad Rublev?
06:46 Yeah
06:47 Any response Andrei?
06:49 What do you mean that was...
06:50 He knows it, he knows it
06:53 He's got no excuse for that
06:54 I gave you the point in the second quarter when the score was super tight and they called it out
06:59 And now you're calling me Georgiy? Or how you say it, what was the word?
07:03 Okay, no, no, it's fine
07:09 Ah, so you even make me feel guilty now
07:12 No
07:13 Okay, okay
07:14 If that's how you want to win, then...
07:16 That's how you want me to feel, no?
07:19 We are playing an amazing match and you want to make me feel guilty
07:24 It's okay, it's okay, I understand
07:27 Alex, is this you doing reverse psychology now?
07:30 No, honestly if I was in the same position I probably would have served, but that's just me, you know
07:37 But it's alright, you know, we just have different values I guess
07:46 Play fair, okay? Go on boys, fourth quarter coming up
07:49 Alright, let's go
07:50 So, no, that I give you the ball, nothing, no?
07:52 If you would be in my position, would you do this?
07:58 I would have taken the point as well, so...
08:02 Don't worry mate
08:03 [Laughter]
08:04 1-0
08:11 Nice shot
08:19 Come on, come on, come on
08:20 That's a great return of serve, where on earth did he dig that out from?
08:40 11-6, Roblox
08:42 Look at the amount of swing on the serve, how far he's got to stretch
08:47 Produced the best stunning shots over the last three days
08:50 I like the move, but that's too good for Alex Dimonor
09:02 Goal!
09:03 It is a 7-0
09:12 Goal! Goal! Goal!
09:14 You know the problem
09:15 37-0
09:22 Goal!
09:26 Too good, too good, too good
