00:00 25 22. That was the Kansas City Chiefs on top of the San Francisco 49ers in overtime
00:09 as it goes into the extra frame 19 to 19. San Francisco gets the ball first kicks a
00:16 field goal. Kansas City gets the ball last and scores the touchdown. That's how the game
00:21 ends. A couple big stats here from the quarterbacks. Brock Purdy 23 of 38 255 yards, one touchdown,
00:29 zero interceptions. Patrick Mahomes 34 of 46 333 yards, two touchdowns, one interception.
00:38 Christian McCaffrey had 22 carries on the ground for 80 yards. He also had eight receptions
00:43 for 80 yards. So 160 total yards for the former Stanford running back that they received in
00:50 the trade with the Carolina Panthers. He had a big game. He scored that touchdown on the
00:54 trick play from Jawan Jennings, who finishes the game one for one. Scott Wetzel hits his
00:59 over two and a half players with a with an attempt as that was a pretty good prop bet
01:05 to cash in on. And I'll tell you, reading this, the rushing, reading the passing kind
01:10 of stats here at the end, maybe the most important. We talked about Brock Purdy, three rushes
01:16 for 12 yards. His over under rushing was 12 and a half. So a tough beat for myself. Anybody
01:21 else out there that bet his rushing yards over? But I'll tell you one that really jumps
01:26 out the page of me. Yes, Travis Kelsey, nine receptions for 93 yards. He had a big day.
01:32 He only had 10 targets caught nine of them. And remember all of his targets last game
01:36 he caught as well. But Patrick Mahomes nine carries 66 yards. He averaged over seven yards
01:45 per carry. He had his long of 22 and some big time spots. I'll tell you, Scott, I think
01:51 that that actually might be the most impressive stat. Patrick Mahomes, you know, putting the
01:55 ball down, getting something with his legs and big time opportunities. I wouldn't shy
02:00 away from that and being one of the more important stats and the chiefs winning this football
02:05 game.
02:06 Yeah, that was actually another prop that I hit. You know, who wants to hear a guy say,
02:10 Oh, I won this prop. I won this prop. I won that prop. Right. But these are props that
02:13 I gave out to the guys on the podcast. So it's not just me, but a lot of hunches, you
02:18 know, kind of came in, uh, in this one. That's why I think the public, cause we were talking
02:21 last hour, I think the public really won a lot of money against the boys in Vegas, but
02:25 there was a prop who would have the longest rushing attempt.
02:29 And Pat Mahomes was, uh, close to 10 to one, either nine and a half to one or 11 after
02:33 one. I forget. I bet so many. Right. And I said, you know what, all we need to do is
02:38 go off on one little scramble, you know, 15, 20 yards. And then, you know, McCaffrey doesn't
02:43 generally break out 30 yard runs. Um, and I don't think anybody else on Kansas city
02:47 is going to be breaking down any long runs. I said, you know, let's throw a little Shekel
02:51 on, on my home's to scramble around for 15, 20 yards. And that's exactly what he did.
02:55 You know, he, you know, this game is really a good, like 50, 50 game drew, you know, we
03:01 could talk here for an hour and a half on San Francisco and why they lost and blew it.
03:06 Or we could talk an hour and a half on Kansas city and the legacy of Pat Mahomes and what
03:09 this does. There's so many wrinkles. Um, you know, you talk about Dre Greenlaw for San
03:14 Francisco, that the guy is running on the field. In fact, he's not even running on the
03:18 field. He's just basically walking on the field. We're talking about one of the best
03:22 players on San Francisco's defense and he blows his Achilles out going on the field
03:27 for goodness sakes. So they had to play basically the entire game, at least three quarters without
03:32 him.
03:33 And then we get the run in with Travis Kelsey. May I tell you what? I don't know if the public,
03:38 I thought Nansen and Romo did a lousy job talking about certain things they really needed
03:43 to address, but you have a player barrel into your head coach like Kelsey did to Andy Reed.
03:52 And then nothing really was said about it that that's so, um, but I thought San Francisco
03:57 lost it more than Kansas city wanted. Um, but you get, you gotta give Kansas city's
04:02 defense all the credit in the world to me, but Holmes is my homes. He's fantastic. But
04:07 that Casey defense stepping up and keeping Kansas city in that game when the offense
04:11 couldn't do anything for a full half, uh, it was impressive to me.
04:15 [inaudible].
