00:00 What will this new enforcement of conscription in Myanmar mean for the Myanmar people?
00:05 What reactions have you heard?
00:07 It's going to be definitely creating chaos.
00:11 And it shows that how dire the junta and it's falling apart,
00:19 and it's in need of the human resource in order to maintain the power it's trying to grab.
00:28 And definitely the impact particularly is going to be high both physically and mentally.
00:34 We have been hearing news that the military already started to arrest people,
00:39 grab people from the street, young people particularly,
00:42 and trying to bring them to the military.
00:48 It presents a greater opportunity for the people of Myanmar to end the dictatorship for once and for all.
00:55 And even though a small number of the young people who were not really into the revolutions
01:02 will be being pushed to be taking a part in the revolutions and fight this junta.
01:08 Why do you think Myanmar's military leaders are doing this now?
01:12 They do not have a lot of options left.
01:15 There is no way out for them for the mess that they have created to the country and to the people of Myanmar.
01:21 And they have tried election, they have tried so many other ways,
01:25 tried to bring the situation to normalcy and maintain their power in terms of illegal coup.
01:33 And they failed and they significantly failed.
01:36 And recently they have been losing in every aspect of the operations.
01:42 The junta is weak, their chain of command is not functioning well,
01:48 and they are not only trying to enforce this bill,
01:51 also they are trying to bring back those who are retired from military due to the age and things like that.
01:58 And this shows the capacity and capability are collapsing.
