00:08 after being caught without a license and having an illegal operation.
00:12 This is what Clayzel Pardilio wrote.
00:15 This company is like a black recruitment agency in Salcedo Village, Makati City.
00:23 When the office entered, their countrymen were in a state of shock.
00:29 Thousands of followers and feedback were posted on Facebook.
00:33 This is Belmond Philippines, which is a company that provides training, education, and jobs in Poland
00:38 and other countries in Europe and America.
00:41 But the Department of Migrant Workers said that the company has no license and has an illegal operation.
00:48 Earlier, the DMW raided the office of Belmond Philippines in Makati City.
00:58 According to the DMW, the so-called recruitment agency in Poland operates
01:03 and created an unlicensed branch in the Philippines that started in December 2023.
01:10 They're actually conducting recruitment activity.
01:12 They source documents of workers and then send them either as tourist or on a student visa.
01:19 They will go there and they promise that they can work there.
01:23 This is what we call human trafficking.
01:25 They send workers as tourist.
01:28 There's no OEC, it doesn't pass through the DMW.
01:31 We don't know what will happen to the workers and the welfare of the people who go there.
01:37 In the investigation of the DMW, five Filipinos were arrested for being sent away by an illegal recruitment agency.
01:44 The processing fee for each applicant is P150,000.
01:50 You will be paid P55,000, which is like a reservation fee.
01:53 And then when you finish everything, you will be paid P110,000.
01:57 You haven't left yet, you don't have a job, you don't know where you're going.
02:01 So, the Filipinos are pitiful.
02:03 Our regulation, if allowed to charge a worker because of the destination country allows it by rule,
02:09 it won't be more than a month's salary.
02:12 I know, there's really something wrong with our part.
02:14 If you want to refund, we will return everything you paid.
02:18 And of course, there's an apology if I didn't deliver all the promises.
02:26 According to Republic Act 10022 or Migrant Workers Act,
02:31 the person who broke the law can face up to 12 years in prison and up to P5 million fine.
02:40 The DMW said, this is a poll in the emerging market of the Philippines.
02:45 The factory, skilled and agricultural worker are in demand here.
02:50 But the employment reminder, be vigilant in looking for a job to avoid fraud.
02:57 Look for the legitimate recruitment agency and accredited employer on the DMW website.
