Ukrainian soldiers dig trenches in the face of Russian attacks

Military personnel of the state special transport service are building a reserve defense line for the infantry in the Zaporizhzhia region, not far from the front line. As the two-year mark of the war approaches, the Ukrainian military, fatigued from an unsuccessful counter-offensive, has found itself stuck on the defensive, confronted with a frozen front and heavily armed Russian troops.

00:00 We are here to do the black work, so that the guys can go to the trenches and not dig them manually.
00:18 Our task is to make the work of the infantry as easy as possible.
00:24 We hope that they will not come here.
00:42 Let them not advance, let our guys drive them there.
00:49 Well, we do. Everything can happen.
00:59 The main problem is that the number of technical reconnaissance capabilities has increased.
01:06 This is primarily space apparatus, aircraft and drones.
01:13 So we get information about the time they fly there, from the allied units,
01:19 who help us, send us information.
01:23 And we make certain decisions to save personnel.
01:42 We are taking off. They dug, dug, dug, and then they fell into the mine.
01:46 We have to move.
