00:03 - We're gonna move to the Big 12 now.
00:05 We've got the University of Kansas
00:07 against Texas Tech, Kansas.
00:09 Obviously one of the big time historical,
00:12 great programs in college basketball.
00:14 So I think a lot of people would maybe be surprised
00:16 to be seeing Kansas on the road at the Red Raiders.
00:19 Being slight dogs here, 146 and a half is the total.
00:24 Do we have any plays in this game, Mark?
00:29 - This is one of these games where I think we know
00:32 that Kansas is the better team.
00:35 It's a question of can Texas Tech put together
00:39 a 40 minute game against big brother
00:43 and go out and win the thing.
00:44 We see that Texas Tech is a three and a half point favorite,
00:46 somewhere in that range, whatever we're looking at here.
00:49 I would lean on playing Texas Tech in the first half
00:52 to have a lead at halftime.
00:53 You cut the game in half here.
00:55 And again, we talk about the home road splits in college
00:58 and how dynamic it is, how road teams this year
01:00 have really struggled to get wins in conference play.
01:03 But I don't know if I trust Texas Tech
01:05 for a full 40 minutes against a good shooting team
01:08 like Kansas.
01:09 I think that's where you're selling me
01:11 that Kansas has the number one effective field goal
01:13 percentage in conference is going to end up
01:17 being able to be kept at bay for a full 40 minutes
01:21 in this thing, especially by a Texas Tech defense, guys,
01:24 that is really bad.
01:25 Texas Tech in conference play has the second to worst
01:29 adjusted defensive efficiency in front of only West Virginia
01:32 and right behind Oklahoma State.
01:34 And that's a real problem.
01:35 They can't defend a three at all.
01:37 That's a bad problem against a Kansas team that can shoot.
01:40 They're not very good inside.
01:41 They give up a ton of offensive rebounds to opposing teams.
01:44 In fact, they're dead last in the conference
01:46 in offensive rebound rate allowed by opponents.
01:49 And that's something where Kansas
01:50 is going to take advantage.
01:51 So over a course of 40 minutes.
01:53 So I would look for Texas Tech to establish it early,
01:56 get a lead at half.
01:57 And if you're a Raiders fan, you have to hope--
01:59 Raiders fan, hope that they can hang on for the final 40.
