We have this exclusive interview with the stars of the hit series Ride, Nancy Travis and Beau Mirchoff! Watch the family drama Mondays starting at 7PM on CW7 Arizona!

RIDE is a multigenerational family drama that follows the lives of the McMurrays, a tight-knit family that embarks on a journey of self-discovery on the heels of a tragic loss as they uncover a twisted web of secrets that threatens to tear the family and their Colorado town apart. At the center is Cash McMurray (Beau Mirchoff, “Good Trouble,” “The Fosters”), a champion bull-rider with a complicated past who yearns to escape his older brother’s shadow as the fate of the family dynasty falls into his hands. The strong women of the family – matriarch Isabel (Nancy Travis) who struggles with her son taking up the dangerous family mantle, former rodeo queen Missy (Tiera Skovbye, “Riverdale,” “Nurses”) and “adopted” runaway Valeria (Sara Garcia, “The Flash,” “Reign”) – lock arms with Cash to save their land and stand strong against all challenges, come what may. Jake Foy (“Designated Survivor,” “A Little Daytime Drama”) and Tyler Jacob Moore (“Barry,” “Shameless”) also star. For more information visit aztv.com/ride

00:00 Speaking of that prime time lineup with the bride, I know I love Lexi a good Western, don't you?
00:07 Oh, yeah. I mean, Brad, that makes two of us. And today we are in luck because you can catch Ride Mondays at 7 right here on the CW7.
00:15 And today we get to talk to two of the stars of the show. Please welcome Nancy Travis and Bo Murchoff. Welcome, guys.
00:22 Good morning.
00:23 Hey. Hey there.
00:25 This is great.
00:26 And Bo was just here. You could have just stayed and did the interview here with us.
00:29 What happened? Why didn't we do that?
00:32 Next time.
00:33 He was here for the open, so that was great.
00:35 It's OK. It's a great thing.
00:37 Hey, let's talk about this. Tell us a little about Ride.
00:40 I will dive in. Yeah, Ride is a new show on the CW, and we're very excited to be there.
00:48 It is a family drama that takes place on a ranch, and it's a family of legendary bull riders.
00:57 And there's a tragedy that happens in the very beginning of the series.
01:01 And the fallout from that is what creates all of our stories.
01:06 There's drama. There's intrigue. There's secrets. There's romance.
01:11 And it's about a family struggling to put the pieces of their lives back together and with the help of their community.
01:21 Oh, man, this is giving me chills just hearing about it.
01:23 So I want to hear about your two characters.
01:27 Well, I play Cash McMurray. He's the middle son of the family.
01:31 I'm the mama.
01:32 She's the mama.
01:33 Cash is a veteran, just came back from overseas.
01:36 And as you said, there's a tragedy that happens, and so his older brother dies.
01:42 And now Cash has to kind of carry the torch and become the solo bull rider of the family.
01:49 But it's not as easy as he thinks, and he's dealing with a lot of trauma and emotional turmoil.
01:56 So he's got to try to navigate this whole thing, and he's kind of white-knuckling it.
01:59 But at the end of the day, he realizes, you know, it's family who's got his back and who can kind of help him through this difficult time.
02:05 Yeah, wow. I'll tell you, this fits right here with our, of course, you know, Western background here in, you know, Arizona, which is amazing.
02:12 Oh, yeah, we're Wild West for sure, and I love it.
02:14 Which is great.
02:15 So, but tonight's episode, all right, this is very important.
02:17 Don't want to give too much away, but I understand there's romance, a birthday party, and emergency strikes all in one episode.
02:25 [laughter]
02:26 Yeah, we pack it in.
02:28 But it's all themes that are happening, and you know, you mentioned the West, and it's just this beautiful landscape, and we got to film on this working cattle ranch.
02:40 And tonight's episode starts out with a little birthday celebration for my character, Isabel.
02:46 And it evolves, and things twist and turn, and then someone's missing on the ranch, and we all, it's all hands on deck trying to find this little girl.
02:57 And ultimately, one of the characters has a secret that she's been keeping from the family for many, many years, and that starts to be divulged.
03:09 And it's gripping.
03:11 It really is.
03:12 It's a great show.
03:13 This sounds so exciting.
03:14 Okay, so Nancy and Bo, I have to know for you two as actors, this seems like it was very heavily, you know, you guys were out on the cattle ranch.
03:22 You guys are like in there doing it.
03:24 Had either of you ridden a horse before or been on a cattle ranch?
03:27 Do you have any experience with that?
03:29 Um, so yeah, I have a little, not as much the cattle ranch part, but horses, I have horses.
03:37 So, you know, that part was fun.
03:39 I didn't have to do as, you know, intense horse training as everyone else.
03:44 But I'm still not great on a horse.
03:47 I got back on a horse two weeks ago.
03:49 So, you know, it went on my head.
03:51 I'm a person who has dogs and they sleep in the bed with me.
03:54 So I'm about as far away from a ranch as you can be.
03:58 But I had this fantasy always of being on one and living on one.
04:05 And then this part came along and I thought, wow, I really manifested this.
04:09 And we were treated to this beautiful, beautiful working ranch with like 4,000 head of cattle and really got to go through what it's like.
04:20 And it's not easy.
04:21 It's a lot of hard work.
04:22 And playing this role, I really got to understand the struggle that it is to keep these independent ranches afloat.
04:30 And it's work.
04:32 And that's why for a lot of these communities, bull riding and rodeo is not just a lifestyle.
04:38 It is the thing that keeps them going emotionally and financially.
04:44 So it's a great, great setting for a story and where our family is placed.
04:51 Very cool.
04:52 It is.
04:53 It just fits right in with us because we have our Prescott rodeos.
04:56 We know about cattle ranchers and stuff.
04:58 So this show is just awesome for us.
05:00 Yeah, we're telling your story.
05:02 This is it.
05:03 Yeah, I love it.
05:04 Alright, Nancy, I'm trying not to fan out too much.
05:07 But I'm going to get in trouble for this.
05:09 Literally, after our show's over, I go and watch you on "The Last Man Standing."
05:14 And so I'm going to get in trouble.
05:16 But I love watching.
05:17 You can fan out as much as you want.
05:19 Thank you.
05:20 But of course, you know, in "Three Men and a Baby," you are just so memorable roles and everything, which is so incredible.
05:26 What's next for you?
05:27 I know you've got a lot on your plate.
05:29 Oh, that's sweet.
05:30 Well, hopefully what's next is another season of "Ride."
05:33 So we're keeping our fingers crossed for that.
05:35 And I'm also coming out in a movie on February 23rd called "Ordinary Angels" with Hilary Swank and Alan Richson.
05:45 And that's based on a true story.
05:48 So I hope people come out for that as well.
05:50 Very cool.
05:51 Awesome.
05:52 Well, we're looking forward to seeing both of you, Nancy and Bo, in hopefully that next season of "Ride."
05:56 But yeah, just to enjoy the season that's out right now, we're excited.
05:59 So thank you two for joining us.
06:01 We're excited to be with you.
06:03 Thanks a lot.
06:04 I didn't fan out too much, did I?
06:06 I hope not.
06:07 No, you're okay.
06:08 You were still cool.
06:09 I was still cool.
06:10 Good.
06:11 Don't forget, you can catch "Ride" tonight here on The CW7 at 7 o'clock.
06:13 All right.
