Sacramento Kings Face Tough Challenge Against Phoenix Suns

00:06 The Sacramento Kings and the Phoenix Suns
00:09 are going to line up.

00:12 opened this number as Phoenix as a favorite at minus four.
00:15 We've now seen that shift up to minus five here
00:18 as a favorite for the Phoenix Suns.
00:20 A total that opened up at 243 and a half
00:23 and now seeing that rise currently to 245 and a half.
00:27 The Kings and the Suns battle tonight.
00:29 What are we looking at tonight from this game, Davis?
00:32 - You know, the Clippers are getting most of the attention
00:35 in the Western Conference in terms of a team
00:37 that is steaming up the standings
00:38 and it's kind of obfuscating
00:40 what the Phoenix Suns have been doing.
00:42 They are absolutely crushing it
00:44 since they started to pay all of their guys,
00:46 they, you know, once they all got healthy.
00:49 Since January 8th, they have only lost four times.
00:53 One of them was a really narrow one to Indiana.
00:56 Their last game was a very narrow one point loss
00:59 to the Golden State Warriors.
01:00 They've had, they've had three days off here in between.
01:04 The only guy who's not healthy in their entire rotation
01:07 is Damian Lee, who, you know, I don't know
01:09 if we're gonna end up seeing him play this year.
01:12 And one of the concerns that we had about the Phoenix Suns
01:15 was these dudes love to take mid-range jump shots, right?
01:18 Beal likes to take mid-rangers,
01:19 Booker likes to take mid-rangers,
01:21 Kevin Durant is like the best mid-range shooter
01:23 in NBA history.
01:24 And you're always a little bit worried,
01:25 like what is that going to do to you
01:28 when that's your shot diet?
01:29 And the thing that the Suns have done
01:31 is they've been really impressive making three-pointers.
01:34 They have the fourth best three-point percentage as a team.
01:38 I think this is a horrible matchup, honestly,
01:40 for the Sacramento Kings.
01:41 I kind of am in the same spot,
01:43 did take the Clippers last night,
01:44 but I'm kind of in the same spot with the Clippers
01:46 and the Suns where when they're fully healthy,
01:48 when they have all their dudes,
01:50 when the three-star method is working,
01:53 I'm not going against them.
01:55 You know, the Suns, they're playing, you know,
01:57 all these big guys,
01:58 Grayson Allen's playing 33 minutes a night,
02:00 but Durant is also a terrible cover for Sabonis.
02:04 Like, just like thinking about him having to chase Durant
02:06 out to the three-point range and Keegan Murray,
02:08 Keegan Murray's giving up like seven inches to Durant
02:11 in this matchup.
02:12 I like the Suns minus five here quite a bit.
