Phoenix Suns' Bench Shines in Exciting Win Over Sacramento Kings

00:05 Hopefully that direction is gonna wind up in an NBA championship.
00:09 130 to 125 last night in an exciting game over the Sacramento Kings,
00:12 which as we pointed out to start the show in our seven and seven, 35, 18, 12,
00:17 and three for DeMontis opponents wasn't enough.
00:19 The one thing I always talk about the Phoenix Suns,
00:21 at least last year Davis was, okay, you have superstar players,
00:24 but you don't have much of a bench.
00:26 You saw last night as you pointed out,
00:27 Bradley B only played five minutes in this basketball game, scoring five points.
00:31 You need some help from your bench and you got that.
00:33 Eric Gordon dropped in with 23 points off the bench
00:37 to help out the Phoenix Suns here last night.
00:39 Phoenix 130, Sacramento 125, Davis.
00:41 Yeah, I mean, like the Suns are,
00:46 I don't even really have anything interesting to say about them
00:48 in the regular season because it hardly matters.
00:50 Like really, I think the two things that matter for the Phoenix Suns right now
00:54 are one, really try and avoid the play-in.
00:57 So it would be best case scenario to be at least the sixth seed.
01:01 Right now, they are the sixth seed.
01:02 They are only one game ahead of the Mavericks.
01:05 They are only two games ahead of the Kings.
01:07 I don't think the Lakers or the Warriors could catch them,
01:10 but it'd be really nice for them also to avoid the Clippers.
01:13 As of right now, they would be set to play the Clippers in the first round.
01:17 Not that ideal, right?
01:19 That is an absolute buzzsaw to have to run it.
01:21 I don't really think they'd like to play the Thunder either.
01:23 The Timberwolves, maybe they would not be that bothered about playing the Timberwolves.
01:27 But none of it's really going to matter for them if they get to the postseason
01:31 and one of those three guys, Beal, Durant, or Booker, is not playing, right?
01:35 Because they got a good bench chip in last night,
01:40 but you get to the playoffs and Eric Gordon is having to take 16 shots.
01:44 Like, not ideal, not what you want.
01:46 And maybe it'll just be the case that Durant, I mean, he is 35 years old,
01:51 but he just goes supernova for a month and then they end up getting to the NBA Finals.
01:56 But it's very hard for me to imagine a scenario where Bradley Beal,
02:00 he had a hamstring injury last night.
02:01 If this is, if this lingers, right, he tries to come back too early, hurts it again.
02:06 Like, very hard for me to imagine a scenario where this team makes like real postseason noise.
