00:00 If you're riding a privately owned e-scooter on the roads of Northamptonshire,
00:03 there is a very good chance you could be stopped by one of our officers
00:06 and prosecuted for offences such as driving without insurance,
00:10 which will result in your scooter being confiscated from you.
00:13 This then will be taken to one of our recovery agents
00:16 and eventually the device will be scrapped.
00:18 We work very, very closely with Boye as our local scheme provider
00:22 for the rental side to try and make sure that that's running as we would expect.
00:26 But for the private things, we've been working with our neighbourhood policing teams
00:30 going out and doing operations, where typically we're going to get involved
00:34 and we're going to be stopping people that are riding to ascertain,
00:38 you know, what's their purpose, do they understand the legislation.
00:40 And in some cases those scooters are going to end up being seized
00:43 because the legislation doesn't allow people to have them on the public road.
