00:00 Well, it's simple right, it's about getting as far as possible.
00:04 And the more the Decadu gives status, especially to the schools across the country,
00:10 the more likely it is that it will create problems in the long term.
00:15 And what kind of problems? Are you talking about the future of Welsh education in the area?
00:21 Well, in particular, there's a plan that's been in place for a few years now.
00:25 The plans are in place, the committee has been in favour of a new school in this area.
00:31 I don't have to be afraid.
00:33 It's about addressing the current educational needs and what's happening at the moment
00:38 and reducing the number of press schools.
00:41 Of course, if the school is denied status by the Decadu,
00:44 I can't do that and I'd have to go back to the start again.
00:49 But do you perhaps accept that this press school is an important part of the history of the area
00:55 and that you want to keep the school?
00:58 Well, no, I don't, to be honest.
01:00 I don't see it as anything special.
01:02 And the school is special in that it's a temporary school.
01:06 A simple brick school with a wooden wall, that's what's unique.
01:10 And to be honest, there are many other typical examples in Llanuddyn, Llanuddyn and Bermiwl
01:15 that are exactly the same plans that have been made.
01:18 So, yes, I support the idea of keeping the school,
01:21 keeping the history of the area and making this important plan,
01:25 which has a long history and has a future for young people,
01:28 to be carried forward in this area.
01:30 And is connecting with Cadw something that you as a MP, as a council,
01:34 can do now to discuss further and see how it moves forward?
01:38 Well, I understand that the Pwyllys Association is currently working on collecting data and information for Cadw
01:44 and I'm very happy that we can have a comprehensive report on this
01:48 and that Cadw sees that there are ways to improve the samples
01:52 and buildings that improve the quality of the area
01:55 will be in the school and in the community
01:57 and that that will then enable us to move forward in the end
02:00 with the plan and the development of this area, I think.
02:04 Elin Foon, thank you very much.
02:07 Thank you.
