00:00 I am definitely a second-hand person. I mean working here especially, you know, it's got me into the vintage side definitely
00:06 but I spend most of my money on second-hand clothes, you know, it's good for the environment
00:10 but also I think it's more of like a aesthetic and more pleasing thing when you find something second-hand that fits you right
00:16 and yeah, it's a lot better than shopping retail in my opinion.
00:19 I mean obviously it's more sustainable which is just so important at the moment especially
00:23 because I also think it's really fun, shops in the town, like everything's got a bit more life about it
00:29 it's a bit more interesting, you're going to get more unique pieces.
00:32 I just think like the conversation's been going around climate change and fashion
00:36 which just does have like an absolutely massive impact on our climate and like fast fashion is so wasteful
00:43 and I mean I'm sure we're all guilty of it like 10 years ago buying something, wearing it once and then throwing it away
00:48 and I just think like people's social consciousness has started to like catch up a little bit
00:54 like it definitely has, like the rise that we've seen like on Div Street it's had five vintage shops
00:58 so the demand is definitely there for people to have more conscious choices in fashion.
01:01 I think most of my wardrobe is second-hand, I mean everything I've got on today is second-hand
01:05 all from Black Onion, probably the same with you as well.
01:08 I think it's just really important to shop second-hand obviously, everything's one of a kind
01:16 no one ever is going to be wearing the same thing as you and I think it's really big in Sheffield at the minute
01:21 like a lot of people travel around to come to Sheffield for the vintage shops as well so yeah.
01:26 I think it gives, I know it sounds like stereotypical or whatever but I think it gives a new lease of life to certain items
01:33 and also like to certain people that wouldn't necessarily buy that thing for a higher price than them
01:41 they might take a chance on it at a lower price and then it gives them like a new lease of like style
01:49 I think it allows them to explore different styles for cheaper and then get their own look.
