A 1000 HP Bulletproof Corvette with a Gas Mask | New Rezvani Beast 2024

Options include a smokescreen to ensure the person you're competing with loses no matter what.

Say hello to Monster, California-based Rezvani's newest crazy offering. If the name sounds familiar, the first Rezvani was also called The Beast. But while this Aerial is based on the Atom, the new Beast is essentially a C8 Chevrolet Corvette. In true Rezvani style, it has electric door handles, bulletproof glass, a smoke screen feature and 1,000 horsepower.

Let's start with the engine. A 6.2-liter V8 isn't much different from what you'll find under the hood of the Corvette Stingray, but it uses a pair of turbochargers to deliver 1,000 hp and 878 pound-feet of torque. Other engine details were not given, but it is still connected to an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with paddle shifters on the steering wheel.

Rezvani claims the Beast will hit 60 mph in 2.5 seconds and finish the quarter mile in 9.6 seconds. The full carbon fiber body helps with performance by reducing vehicle weight to 2,960 pounds. The exterior retains some C8 Corvette cues, like the large side air intakes and removable roof, but the fascias and fenders largely eliminate the 'Vette's sharper body lines with smoother shapes. Stacked quad exhaust tips at the rear provide an aggressive look flanked by a large diffuser low down. Completing the wild supercar theme are butterfly doors.

The interior has more Chevrolet flavor, although Rezvani eliminated the back of buttons that divide the driver and passenger seats. The company says that the steering wheel was also sliced from its upper part and that this decision was influenced by Formula 1. The company logo replaces the Corvette emblem on the airbag, and we can see that the dashboard has received new upholstery, which looks a bit strange to us. Perhaps this is due to the multitude of spy hunter options available on this stylish machine.

For those who want to be James Bond, the optional $45,000 "007" package includes gas masks, thermal night vision, electromagnetic pulse protection, electric door handles, a pepper spray dispenser, magnetic deadbolts, strobe lights, sirens, first aid and hypothermia kits, and, for reasons we can't explain, An intercom system for a small two-seat supercar. An optional explosive device detection system is also available, but its price is not mentioned.

There's body armor legal for the supercar, too, but it'll cost you an extra $55,000. For this, you get bulletproof glass as well as an unspecified amount of armor for the exterior. This probably takes up a lot of the Beast's performance. That's the price of surviving the apocalypse in style.

Rezvani is asking an eye-watering $485,000 for The Beast. This was before any of the weird gadgets were added. With the inclusion of 007 and armor packs, the sticker price rises to $585,000.
