518 Hp Released With $291,650 Price Tag, New Porsche 911 S/T 2024

This is the lightest hardware of the 992 generation, and buyers can pair it with a compatible Porsche Design watch.

The 2024 Porsche 911 S/T debuts, combining elements from GT3 Touring and GT3 RS to create a lightweight, road-oriented model that harks back to the 1969 911 S. Porsche makes only 1,963 examples of these, and prices in the United States start at $291,650 after a $1,650 destination fee. It will be held for the first time at Rennsport Reunion 7, starting September 28, and deliveries will begin in spring 2024.

The 911 S/T weighs 3,056 pounds, making it the lowest of any 992-generation 911. It's 70 pounds lighter than a 911 GT3 Touring with manual transmission.

Porsche uses carbon fiber-reinforced plastic components for the hood, front fenders, doors, roof, rear axle anti-roll bar and rear stiffener cutout panel. The wheels, 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear, are magnesium. Ceramic-composite brakes are standard. The rear axle steering system is not available in this vehicle. The starter battery is a lithium-ion unit. It also has less soundproofing than lightweight glass and other 911 variants.

Power comes from the 4.0-liter straight-six engine from the GT3 RS, which produces 518 horsepower. The only gearbox is a close ratio six-speed manual. Porsche fits a unique lightweight clutch and single-mass flywheel that reduces the rotating mass by 23 pounds. The automaker claims the car "now revs up with particularly exhilarating speed and directness."

The 911 S/T accelerates to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds for a GT3 RS, while the 911 S/T reaches 60 mph in 3.5 seconds. Top speed is 186 mph.

The cabin of the 911 S/T comes with either carbon fiber reinforced plastic bucket seats or the four-way adjustable Plus Sport Seats. The upholstery is available in Classic Cognac fabric with black stripes or in two-tone semi-aniline leather in a blend of Black and Classic Cognac. The instrument cluster and the clock of the Chrono package have green highlights.

The 911 S/T is available with an optional Heritage Design Package. It comes with a Shore Blue Metallic body and Ceramica white colored wheels. Buyers can set numbers from 0 to 99 for the rounds in each door. The badges are in classic Porsche design and appear on the nose, wheel hub, steering wheel and headrests.

911 S/T buyers can choose to pair their car with the bespoke Porsche Design Chronograph 1 – 911 S/T watch (above). It has three sub-dials for working seconds hand and stopwatch functions. The image of a six-speed manual is between the 1 and 2 o'clock marks. There are also day and date displays. The watch has a titanium case and the winding rotor shares the same design with the wheels of this car. The dial matches the green highlights on the vehicle's instrument cluster. The price of the watch is $13,500 and is limited to 1,963 pieces.
