00:03 Let's get to some odds tonight in the Big Ten,
00:05 talking about Mackie Arena in West Lafayette.
00:07 That's the Purdue Boilermakers at home, taking on Minnesota.
00:10 Minnesota comes into this game 6-6 in the Big Ten.
00:13 You take a look at Purdue, 11-2.
00:15 Monster favorite here, 16.5 points currently at the Fandle Sportsbook,
00:19 and a total at 146.5.
00:21 Give us some pointers tonight between Minnesota and Purdue.
00:24 >> Well, I think if it's Purdue, you're starting to look right now at a team
00:28 that wants to keep getting better for the home stretch.
00:30 Now, we know about the known commodities on this team.
00:33 Zach Eaddy, you know, in the pole position to repeat as National Player of the Year.
00:36 Brayden Smith has made a quantum leap from his freshman to sophomore year,
00:40 has been to become a better distributor, has become a better rebounder.
00:43 He's made a real nice jump at point guard.
00:44 Lance Jones has been somebody who has given Purdue something
00:48 it didn't have on the wing last season.
00:50 Guys, there's two things I want to point out now
00:52 when you look at the other two spots on the floor for Purdue.
00:55 Matt Painter has somebody who I believe will emerge into a Big Ten
01:00 All-Conference caliber player when Zach Eaddy leaves and Trey Kaufman-Wren.
01:05 However, I don't like the makeup on the floor
01:08 when Trey Kaufman-Wren and Zach Eaddy are on the floor together
01:12 because I feel like it's playing two five men together.
01:15 When you watch the game tonight, look at the spacing for Purdue
01:19 when Mason Gillis, one of college basketball's ultimate glue guys,
01:23 is on the floor for Purdue at the four versus when Trey Kaufman-Wren is on the floor.
01:28 That is one thing. And another thing I want to point out
01:30 because I've been studying his game closely since I was streaming their games
01:33 when they were on a foreign tour last year in Germany during the summer.
01:37 Miles Colvin is somebody who I think over the next month
01:40 could emerge into a factor for Purdue.
01:43 And Ben, I was going over my numbers this week.
01:45 In games this year where Miles Colvin plays double figure minutes,
01:50 he's averaging just under seven points per game at 6.9 ppg.
01:55 This guy gives Purdue another athlete on the wing,
01:58 somebody who can make a shot. And this is somebody, again,
02:00 if this game gets broken open in the first 20 or 25 minutes,
02:04 somebody that could play some extended time,
02:06 give Purdue another shot maker on the perimeter to go alongside Fletcher Lawyer.
02:11 I think this is a name of somebody who could really be a factor for Purdue moving forward.
02:16 I don't know if the minutes are available in Purdue's rotation,
02:19 but he's on the radar.
