00:03 Last night inside Mackey Arena, it's been the story this year, Donnie, for
00:06 the Minnesota Golden Gophers, an incredibly competitive team, and
00:10 by far the best cover team in all of college basketball.
00:13 The Gophers now 21 and 3 against the number, a 16 and
00:17 a half point dog last night on the road in West Lafayette.
00:21 They had a double digit lead early on in the final 20 minutes in that second half.
00:27 Ultimately, though, Purdue does rally to win 84-76.
00:31 The Boilermakers now have won nine straight games.
00:33 They are 12 and 2 in Big Ten play, a two and a half game cushion for
00:38 that regular season crown in the top spot at this moment.
00:41 But Minnesota does not make any game easy in Big Ten competition.
00:45 >> No, they certainly don't, Ben.
00:47 And if you told me before the game, hey, you know what?
00:49 They're gonna shoot by volume from three point range and
00:51 make just about 50% of those.
00:52 They shot 25 three point shots and made 12 of those.
00:55 You should be in that ballgame, and they were.
00:57 The only problem was you flip it over on Purdue,
00:59 who we know is a dominant big man, down low.
01:01 They also shot close to 48% from three point range.
01:04 That's a good win for the Boilermakers.
01:06 And also, we start talking about some of these wins, Ben, right,
01:08 as we head towards March Madness in the tournament itself.
01:11 You wanna have situations where you're down at the hands, so
01:13 you can draw back on this.
01:14 Cuz what's the problem with Purdue heading into March Madness?
01:17 It's like, hey, we expect a big time matchup in round number one against
01:20 a team we should beat, and then we find adversity, Ben, and
01:23 we can't get over that adversity.
01:25 I love to see top ranked teams go through adversity before they actually get to
01:28 the tournament.
01:29 I think that's gonna be a benefit for them.
