00:00 So Cam, just kind of taking back, what's been the last couple weeks like, the last really
00:04 month or so?
00:05 You go to the Sugar Bowl, play in the National Championship, and now you've got a whole new
00:08 coaching staff to learn.
00:10 What made you decide to stick around with Jetfish?
00:12 Yeah, man, it's been an eventful, I guess, month or a couple weeks.
00:18 What really made me stay is the community.
00:20 Seattle, the community, the relationships I've built here, I wouldn't trade it for anything.
00:27 I really didn't want to leave because the community, again, it's awesome here.
00:32 So what was that morning like when DeBoer let the team know that obviously he was not
00:36 going to be the coach next?
00:37 What was the mood like, and where was your head at at that point?
00:41 Was it surprising?
00:42 Was it kind of just you didn't even know what to think?
00:43 Yeah, I mean, it was very surprising, finding out on ESPN, being in, I'm getting rehab,
00:50 and I see on the TV that he's leaving us.
00:53 It was definitely surprising.
00:56 I was hurt a little bit, felt a little emotion, but life goes on.
01:00 Life is full of changes.
01:05 When you saw the name Steve Belichick announced as your defensive coordinator, how much of
01:08 that almost said, "This is why I stayed," knowing that Jetfish was going to bring in
01:12 some great coaches?
01:13 What was your initial reaction to that?
01:15 It was very eye-opening.
01:16 Coach Belichick is, like people say, he's part of the Mount Rushmore.
01:21 To be coached by his son, I know his son has a lot of his abilities and his characteristics,
01:27 so to be coached by one of the best is amazing.
01:32 What is the mindset of this team when you go into winter conditioning with a new staff,
01:36 knowing you guys are still a majority of the roster is coming back, but obviously a lot
01:39 of the veterans are replacing?
01:40 What's the mentality like in that locker room and in that weight room right now?
01:43 I think for the guys who stayed, it's the same mentality as last year, and then some.
01:48 Whoever is joining the team, the new guys, the incoming freshmen, transfers, for the
01:53 guys who have been here for Lee, Zoe, Carson, we're just going to try to keep that work
02:00 and tradition.
02:02 How hard was it to see Acey go across the country?
02:04 I know it's your guy.
02:05 Yeah, that's my guy.
02:07 That's my roommate.
02:08 He's been my roommate for three years.
02:10 We came in as freshmen together.
02:13 I'm excited for him.
02:14 That's my boy.
02:15 I'm excited for Misha as well.
02:17 That's my boy as well.
02:18 I'm excited for them.
02:19 They did what they have to do.
02:20 Like I said, I'm excited.
02:21 Now, speaking of the community, I don't know how much you can talk about it, but what do
02:26 you got cooking with Simply Seattle?
02:27 We're going to see some team capture.
02:29 We got something cooking.
02:30 It's in the works right now.
02:31 I can't say too much.
