00:00 We know that blood loss is something that does happen after having a baby and we also know that
00:06 you know realistically some women have to wait to have their induction of labour.
00:11 What's really really important is that a service manages that risk to women so that they
00:17 ensure that their care is given in line with national guidance, that it's delivered in a
00:22 timely way and that their risk is assessed and prioritised and that's what we've asked them to
00:28 focus on in more detail. We know that there are staffing challenges for maternity services across
00:33 the country and this hospital is no different experiencing those challenges and they needed
00:39 to do more to work on their recruitment and most importantly the retention of their staff
00:44 and utilise the staff that they have got in the most effective way, making sure people are in the
00:50 right place at the right time for example. I'd like to reassure women that the staff were providing
00:57 good care at the hospital and what I would say to women is if they're worried about anything
01:03 around their care that they need to speak to the people that are looking after them so
01:07 don't feel that you can't talk to your midwife or the doctor that's looking after you and tell
01:13 them what you're worried about and ask them to talk to you about it because they will do that.
