00:00 Tina, you're allergic to wheat.
00:01 Cool mom Tina loves holiday homes with a view.
00:04 Look at your mother!
00:06 Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we're counting down our picks for the top 10 Super Bowl commercials of 2024.
00:13 What do the French like?
00:15 Anyone?
00:17 Cheese.
00:19 They like cheese.
00:21 Brilliant. Done.
00:23 Number 10. Twist on it. Oreo.
00:27 Let's twist on it.
00:29 Left, we get out of here. Cream on the right, we stay with those guys.
00:32 It would appear that Oreo is trying to replace the coin flip.
00:38 We've never heard of twisting on it, but apparently, this has been a common decision-making method since the age of the dinosaurs.
00:44 And here we were thinking that Oreos weren't invented until 1912.
00:49 Creative liberties aside, this commercial puts a fun twist on several turning points in history.
00:54 From the Trojan horse to the rise of boy bands to the day Kris Jenner got that fateful phone call.
00:59 Every little detail about our family will be on TV.
01:02 Who would watch that?
01:03 Whether these moves benefited humankind or set society back a few decades,
01:07 the important thing is that every choice culminated with a delicious cookie.
01:12 Now, are we sure this commercial is worthy of our list?
01:15 Let's twist on it.
01:17 Yup.
01:18 Wait a minute.
01:19 We could have been twisting on everything this whole time?
01:21 Yes. Since forever.
01:23 Number 9. Hello Down There. Squarespace.
01:26 Martin Scorsese has never made a sci-fi film.
01:36 Although, he was interested in adapting Blade Runner before Ridley Scott beat him to it.
01:41 For now, Scorsese finally touched upon the genre in this Squarespace commercial.
01:45 With so much UFO footage surfacing as of late, people have never been more glued to their devices.
01:51 Ironically, they stopped watching the skies as a result, causing humanity to nearly overlook first contact.
01:58 Flying saucers are not enough to pry eyes from phones and tablets.
02:09 It isn't until the aliens from above make a website that they manage to get everyone's attention.
02:14 This includes the commercial's director.
02:17 Between the ending of Killers of the Flower Moon and now this, Scorsese elevates everything with his presence.
02:23 Number 8. Talking Like Walken. BMW.
02:31 Christopher Walken is one of those stars that virtually anyone can imitate.
02:43 That's because his voice and delivery are just so unique.
02:46 That said, you can always tell when you're listening to an impression and when you're in the presence of the real deal.
02:52 Nowhere is that more apparent than in this commercial, in which Walken can't go anywhere without hearing impressions of himself.
02:58 Walken even runs into Ashley Park and Usher, reminding the latter to get ready for halftime.
03:08 The Oscar-winning actor takes the impersonations in good humor because, at the end of the day, he's one of a kind.
03:14 Just like the all-electric BMW i5.
03:17 It's a clever celebrity endorsement that reminds us nobody plays Christopher Walken better than Christopher Walken.
03:23 Number 7. Perfect 10. Kia.
03:32 Here's a commercial sure to bring a tear to your eye, although it may subsequently turn to ice.
03:43 As a young figure skater leaves a stadium cheering, one special person is sadly unable to make the trip.
03:49 With her father, the ice princess goes the extra mile to give an encore.
03:53 The Kia EV9 makes a perilous journey through the snowy wilderness to the skater's aging grandfather's cabin.
04:04 It's hard not to get chills as she takes to the ice again with her granddad watching from inside.
04:09 We never saw what the judges gave her at the public performance, but that's irrelevant.
04:13 The only score that matters is the perfect 10 her grandpa writes on the frosty window.
04:18 It's an 11 on the emotional scale.
04:21 It's hard to believe that Jeremy Renner's near-fatal encounter with a snowplow happened just over a year ago.
04:38 What's even more astounding is how far the Hawkeye actor has come since then, as displayed in this commercial for Silk Protein Almond Milk.
04:46 Renner doesn't just look great, he feels great, slicing strawberries with the precision of Ronan and chucking pancakes as if they were ninja stars.
04:54 At first, Renner thought he'd require a stuntman, but he wound up performing every move himself.
05:03 The commercial also features Renner's real-life daughter Ava, who is happy to see her dad back in his usual routine.
05:09 While the commercial itself is fun, knowing Renner's background adds another level of depth that's sure to leave you feeling uplifted.
05:27 From the early viral success of Single Ladies to the announcement of her pregnancy to her own Super Bowl halftime show,
05:33 few celebs have broken the internet more times than Beyonce, with Verizon upping their game though.
05:39 Queen Bee needs to take things to the next level.
05:42 Tony Hale goes from serving Selena Meyer to someone even more powerful.
05:46 Despite ushering in the next stage in AI, delivering the Barbie sequel we didn't know we wanted,
05:54 throwing a wild card into the 2024 presidential race and launching her sound to the final frontier,
06:00 it seems that nothing can break Verizon's 5G feature.
06:03 That is, unless she has some new music that's about to drop.
06:07 Was this secretly a Renaissance Act 2 ad all along?
06:11 "You ain't gonna break me."
06:13 "Still works."
06:14 "Okay, they ready. Drop the new music."
06:16 If you're gonna make a sequel, you've gotta go bigger.
06:27 Ben Affleck takes this mentality to heart in a follow-up to last year's Dunkin' commercial,
06:31 where Jennifer Lopez crashed her man's place of business.
06:34 Despite protests from Jack Harlow, Affleck attempts to one-up his wife
06:38 by busting into her recording studio with a few other famous friends.
06:42 As J.Lo begins to rethink her relationship with Ben, so does Matt Damon.
06:46 "Sometimes it's really hard to be your friend."
06:48 "You said you were gonna support me."
06:49 Lopez gives the Dunkings an ice-cold response,
06:52 although she singles out Tom Brady as the MVP.
06:55 The performance might not end with the mic drop that Affleck envisioned,
06:59 but at least he gets to go home with the other love of his life.
07:02 Have we made that joke before?
07:04 "I told you I'd do anything for you."
07:05 "This is anything."
07:06 "Chill. They're naming a drink after us."
07:08 Number 3. Sir Patrick Stewart throws a Hail Arnold.
07:12 Paramount+.
07:13 "If it were a football, I'd be able to reach the top."
07:16 "What about a football-shaped head?"
07:20 Sometimes you don't know how much you want certain characters to collide
07:27 until they appear together in a Paramount+ commercial.
07:29 As Tua Tungvaloa, Knuckles, Drew Barrymore, and several others seek new heights,
07:34 Patrick Stewart points to a certain football head as the key.
07:38 We're not sure what's more surreal,
07:40 that it's taken this long for somebody to throw Arnold,
07:43 seeing Picard as an old-timey quarterback,
07:45 or that this display is set to Creed's vocals.
07:48 "And Creed's here."
07:50 "Watch and learn."
07:52 "Dang, he's cool."
07:53 It builds to a hilarious anti-climax with Mr. Shortman falling short of the summit,
07:58 but that doesn't mean they can't try again with Peppa Pig.
08:01 In an era where crossovers are a dime a dozen,
08:04 ad agency Droga5 delivered a truly inspired mashup
08:08 that captures every character's voice to a tee.
08:11 "I just threw him higher."
08:15 "To a place where we won't freeze."
08:22 Number 2. Sarah V.
08:24 Sarah V.
08:25 "I'm Michael Sarah, and I'm pleased to announce that this is my cream."
08:31 "Sarah V."
08:32 Michael Sarah is probably the last person you would expect to pop up
08:36 in a moisturizing cream commercial.
08:38 When the product is called Sarah V, though,
08:40 the casting director's work is essentially done.
08:43 Sarah was already making the rounds on social media,
08:46 posing with the skin product and signing bottles.
08:48 The confounding campaign culminated with this commercial,
08:52 which still raises more questions than it answers.
08:59 "Yaaaaaah."
09:01 It has many of the hallmarks we associate with beauty ads,
09:04 i.e. a soothing ambiance, pretentious dialogue,
09:07 and curtains blowing in the wind.
09:09 Yet it throws several curveballs, including a mountain,
09:12 a narwhal, and, of course, Sarah's presence.
09:15 If you're wondering why the ad is so bizarrely hysterical,
09:19 it all clicks when you realize that Tim Heidecker
09:22 and Eric Wertheim directed it.
09:24 "So, that's my thing."
09:26 "This is outrageous."
09:28 Before we unveil our top pick,
09:30 here are some honorable mentions.
09:32 From football star to celebrated actor,
09:37 Carl Weathers' journey comes full circle.
09:39 "You gave us your Albrock."
09:44 Aubrey Plaza having a blast, Mountain Dew.
09:46 Parks and Rec meets Game of Thrones,
09:48 although Ben Wyatt's oddly absent.
09:51 "I can have a blast anytime, anywhere."
09:53 "And with anyone?"
09:58 Javier In Frame, Google Pixel.
10:00 Everyday life can be profound
10:02 when experienced through another set of eyes.
10:04 "Two faces in frame."
10:06 "Three faces in frame. Hold for photo."
10:10 Big Cups, Reese's.
10:13 "You got peanut butter in my chocolate."
10:15 In my caramel.
10:16 "Yes! I love caramel!"
10:18 "Yes, yes, yes!"
10:19 "But we're only making a few of them."
10:25 Mr. T, Sketchers.
10:27 We pity the fool who's too young to recognize the actor from that cereal box.
10:31 "I pity the fool who isn't in Sketchers snipping."
10:34 "See, Romo? T is always in Sketchers."
10:36 "I'm just saying people often misspell Sketchers and put a T in it."
10:39 "Quit saying! It's not snipping, fool!"

10:56 Number 1. Like a Good Neighbour, State Farm.
11:01 "Thank you, agent State Farm."
11:07 "Like a good neighbour, State Farm is there."
11:10 "Cut!"
11:11 Arnold Schwarzenegger.
11:12 Bodybuilder, movie star, governor of California, celebrity apprentice host.
11:17 Now, he can add State Farm agent to his resume.
11:20 Above all else, this action-packed commercial sees Arnold stepping up as a good neighbour.
11:25 Or "neigh-bah".
11:26 "Neigh-bah."
11:27 "Neigh-bah."
11:29 "Neigh-bah."
11:30 "Hey, let's go again!"
11:32 Arnold struggles to get the line down in his signature Austrian accent.
11:35 This is only made funnier thanks to the commercial's cinematic quality,
11:38 with Arnold thrust into scenarios involving explosions and chop-ups.
11:42 To the director's frustration,
11:44 what should be the simplest part of the take turns out to be the most challenging.
11:48 Nothing that a few tweaks to the script can't fix.
11:51 With extra support from Arnie's twin,
11:54 Arnold and Danny should play radioactive man and fallout boy next.
11:57 "Up and at 'em!"
11:59 "Up and at them!"
12:00 Although, that may bring some other script issues.
12:03 "You are a backstabber."
12:05 "I am a backstabber."
12:07 What's your favourite 2024 Super Bowl commercial?
12:10 Let us know in the comments.
12:11 "Dunking!"
12:12 "Don't, don't go away, my heart."
12:14 "Why you dunking me, girl? Why you dunking me?"
12:16 "Dunking!"
12:17 "My heart."
