00:00 If you haven't tried the complete Baguio coffee experience that doesn't go to the summer capital of the country, where have you been?
00:10 Try visiting the Old Baguio Cafe on Kalayaan Avenue in Quezon City.
00:18 You can experience the legit flavors of the Cordillera, just like what food explorer Ariel Villasanta experienced.
00:27 It's a place where people come to eat.
00:30 What can we offer here in Baguio that they can't find elsewhere?
00:34 One of their favorites is their Espresso Strawberry Yogurt, which is made from ingredients from different provinces of Cordillera.
00:42 It's a mix of the yogurt from Sagada, and the coffee from Calinga, and the strawberry from Benguet.

01:06 It's a little different.
01:08 If you're on a trip to something hot, you can try their Dark Mocha Latte, which is the perfect partner of the Strawberry Shortcake, which is popular in Baguio.
01:17 It's a combination of coffee from Sagada and tablea.
01:22 We have a cacao growers community here in Cordillera.
01:29 That's what we're showcasing.
01:33 We get the tablea from them, the cacao from them.

01:40 When we went to Baguio for a training, she asked for a Strawberry Shortcake.
01:45 When I bought it, I said, "Why not buy more?"
01:49 The moment we arrived here in Manila, I posted it to our community.
01:53 In less than an hour, we ran out of Strawberry Shortcake.
01:57 That's what made us famous because of that.
02:01 [music]
02:03 It's good.
02:05 This is perfect.
02:07 They also have fresh fruit or overcoffee that they prepare in your bag.
02:14 It's back to basics because it's a manual brewing.
02:17 That's where the real aroma of coffee comes out.
02:21 That's where you can really taste the aftertaste, the notes.
02:26 Pull over coffee. This is manual.
02:29 [music]
02:31 Hey!
02:33 Freshly brewed.
02:37 If you feel like a stronger food trip, they also have food here that will make you taste the Cordillera.
02:45 [music]
02:47 Mmm!
02:52 Mmm!
02:54 Delicious.
02:56 We have the best dishes from every province.
02:59 We have six provinces in the Cordillera.
03:01 We pick one of it and then we put it in one dish.
03:06 One example is the Cordillera Mixed Fry.
03:08 It's a combination of Itag, Kinuday, and Pinunin.
03:12 Even the fruits that we put in there are from Sagada.
03:16 In Ipugoy, we get our rice from there.
03:20 We have three types of heirloom rice.
03:23 We have the black one, we have the red, and we have the white, Tinawan rice.
03:30 You can also buy different products directly from the Cordillera provinces
03:35 that are made by the local communities there.
03:38 What we want here in Old Baguio is to be recognized as a hub of anything Cordillera
03:45 that we can showcase to other regions or other communities.
03:51 We call ourselves social entrepreneurs because we wanted to give back to the community,
03:57 not only to take but also give back to what we have.
04:01 That's what we are doing for me.
