00:04 >> David Santos in the outfield, has he been playing out there at all?
00:09 >> Yeah, he's been doing a lot of work with JT McGuire and our staff down here.
00:12 He's been working since early January on the outfield and
00:15 he was out there for cuts and relays today.
00:17 Moving around well, the arm looks good.
00:20 So yeah, he's definitely gonna get some time out there this spring,
00:23 as well as the infield.
00:24 So we're really excited, I mean, the power's real.
00:27 And he's working hard and he's got a great attitude.
00:31 I love being around him, he's just a fun personality.
00:34 >> Can you imagine being in his position at the age of 20?
00:37 >> No, I was a sophomore in college.
00:39 >> [LAUGH] >> I didn't know anything that was going
00:42 on.
00:42 So the best part about Davey is he understands the opportunity that he has.
00:47 And that's what I've told him, is there's no pressure on you, man.
00:50 This is an opportunity for you to make a club.
00:53 And you can't feel like your back's against the wall.
00:56 There's no pressure here.
00:58 Go out and perform, be yourself, and it'll take care of itself.
01:01 >> I know Valiko was saying how Jose's sort of taken him under his wing a little
01:06 bit, how important is that to have that type of guy be so
01:09 receptive to do something like that?
01:12 >> Yeah, you got a superstar, one of the best players in the game that's talking
01:16 hidden with you and allowing you to follow along.
01:19 That's what makes Jose so great,
01:21 because he wants to make everyone around him better.
01:23 That's the definition of a true pro and a winner,
01:26 is that he wants to elevate everyone around him.
01:29 So, and even just being in the midst of Jose,
01:31 you make him take you under his wing whether he knows it or not.
01:35 And you watch the way he works, the way he goes about it, and
01:38 you wanna mimic the way he does it.
01:39 >> Do you look at one corner or the other, or where do you look him in the outfield?
01:46 >> I mean, I think we're gonna give him some looks in right and left.
01:49 I think it's giving him experience in both and
01:52 seeing what's more comfortable for him is gonna be the most important part.
01:56 But definitely some right field, gonna throw him in left a few times as well.
02:00 But just try to give him as many different looks defensively as we can.
02:03 Thanks.
