00:04 Wednesday, February 21st, 2024. East Sussex Highways has confirmed that there has been
00:09 a gas escape in a road in St Leonard's. They announced on X at 12.56pm on Tuesday, February
00:15 20th that Upper Church Road is currently closed at the junction of Battle Road because of a gas
00:20 escape. As both persons said, SGN are aiming to reopen the road on the 28th of February.
00:26 A reader submitted a photo showing the three-way traffic lights that have been installed
00:30 at the Battle Road and Old Church Road junction. West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were called
00:35 to an incident in Pease Pottage in the early hours of this morning. The fire service confirmed on X
00:41 at 1.15am that they were at the scene of a fire involving a property on Bellevue Farm Road.
00:47 They added that crews from Crawley Fire Station and Horsham Fire Station were in attendance along
00:51 with crews from Surrey Fire and Rescue Service. A photographer submitted pictures and video that
00:56 show firefighters at a block of flats with what appears to be a destroyed electric bike at the
01:01 scene. The new B&M store in Worthing was officially opened at 8am this morning with many of the former
01:07 Wilco staff there ready to serve customers. Loth Island star Amy Hart cut the ribbon with store
01:12 manager Marshall Almeida under a rainbow of black and orange balloons before the waiting customers
