00:07 Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses after a teenage boy was robbed and stabbed in Hastings.

00:13 Sussex Police said emergency services were called to the incident in Southdown Avenue at the junction of

00:18 Mount Verne Way at 3.30pm on Saturday, February 10th.

00:22 Police added that the teenager reported being approached by two males who were not known to him.

00:27 Anyone who witnessed the incident or has information that could help police with their inquiries

00:31 is asked to contact police online or call 101, quoting serial 814 or 10/02.

00:40 East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service is urging people to dispose of batteries and electrical items responsibly

00:46 after a fire at a waste recycling site in Lewes.

00:50 East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service attended the incident at Light Brothers in Lewes on Wednesday, February 7th,

00:56 having been called at 9.25pm.

00:58 An East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said, quote,

01:02 "Four fire engines were in attendance from Lewes, Preston Circus and Upfield, a water carrier,

01:08 and a National Resilience Waste Fire Tactical Advisor.

01:12 A fire prevention plan and measures were in place to allow firefighters to assist on-site staff

01:17 who effectively extinguished the fire within an hour."

01:20 The fire service said that no casualties were reported and the fire was accidental.

01:25 New playground equipment at a Horsham school has been officially opened by MP Sir Jeremy Quinn.

01:30 Sir Jeremy was invited to open the equipment at St John's Catholic Primary School in Blackbridge Lane.

01:35 The school received a "sports premium" grant from the government which enabled them to fund the new equipment,

01:40 which includes a giant swing, cross trainer, bikes and other fun pieces.

01:45 Sir Jeremy said the equipment encourages the children to live active and healthy lifestyles while also having fun.
