00:00 The PM's meeting today has passed the basis for forming an Act for the Malaysia Media Council.
00:11 This is important because historically, the basis for forming an Act,
00:20 the drafting of the Act for the Malaysia Media Council, was introduced in 2019.
00:25 However, due to the government's changes,
00:31 and after the formation of the 15th Parliament and the current Madani government,
00:37 we need to have a review of some basic matters.
00:41 The PM's meeting has passed today.
00:45 The next step is to bring the draft of the Act to the PM's office.
00:55 We expect that, if there is no objection,
01:00 this draft will be approved and brought to the Parliament in mid-June.
01:07 It will take time due to a number of discussions, sessions on the governance, on the responsibility of the Pro Tem,
01:15 which have been completed and we have reached this stage.
01:22 So, God willing, the drafting can be carried out after the draft of the Act is approved in the Parliament.
01:31 Thank you.
