00:00 I mean I think the character of Tails, I think if we've done our job properly, I think a lot of people will feel like they've got friends like this.
00:09 Yeah, and recognising qualities in themselves, so this guy as well. He's an extreme but I think he comes from a place that I think a lot of people can understand.
00:19 Yeah, I think so. I think it's fun to create a character that's got these really awful traits to them, but what hopefully makes that funny and makes the film compelling is the extent to which people can recognise parts of themselves in that.
00:35 I think even if it's an exaggerated way, I think a lot of people probably will.
00:42 Yeah, there's a level of intensity that comes with that non-stop focus, which I think the limitations in budget and time actually lend as a strength to the overall vision of the film.
01:02 Because it means that us as performers, you're so in this test of endurance and as actors you're also going through that as well.
01:16 Because you're having to throw yourself into these scenes knowing that we're only going to get a couple of takes to try and nail it.
01:24 And even if we don't nail it, as long as there's something there, great, move on, let it go.
01:29 And that frees you to let go of perfection and aim for something closer to what's the most interesting, what's a fun way of doing this, what's an exciting risk-taking version of these scenes.
01:47 And also at its core, what's the truth of what we're trying to tell.
01:53 And those decisions having to happen so quickly is really exciting, especially from anyone that's spent any time on film sets will know there's a lot of waiting around, a lot of time is taken on the tiny details.
