Mashed potato takeaway set to expand into Lancaster and also to open new branch selling burgers

00:51 my name's James Ashcroft. I'm the owner/founder of MashCrofts.
00:55 So we've got some pretty exciting news.
00:59 We've got some pretty exciting news happening. Oh, we've got somebody on.

01:11 So yeah guys, we didn't know how many people were going to be on the other side of Friday night.

01:23 In case you don't want to watch my boring face throwing on for however many minutes.
01:27 But yeah, so I'll just crack on guys. As I said, I don't want to keep any of you
01:31 on your Friday evening and we want to get closed down and cleaned up and gone home.
01:35 So, obviously we started MashCrofts journey now a couple of months back.
01:39 Beginning of December. It's been a pretty exciting month so far, or two months so far.
01:43 We've had amazing feedback and reception on the food.
01:47 And we've been able to open Wingin' It as well, our second takeaway.
01:51 And we have actually got a couple of announcements to make.
01:55 So, as of Friday March 1st, MashCrofts will officially be a two location business.
02:03 So you guys have asked if we can open up in Lancaster, deliver to Lancaster.
02:09 And so far we haven't wanted to obviously move over to Lancaster or deliver to Lancaster.
02:15 Just because we couldn't ensure the quality of the food.
02:19 We have been in negotiations for a while and we are very, very excited to announce
02:25 that we are going to be opening up in the Barroom Hotel kitchen.
02:31 As of Friday 1st March. So we're going to be having a big launch party.
02:35 We're going to put some money behind the bar for you guys who like a drink.
02:38 We'll put a load of food out. So, cranky, there's loads of people on now as well. Heavens.
02:42 So just in case anybody did miss that, as of Friday 1st March, we're taking over the Barroom kitchen.
02:48 So that's going to be on, yeah. So basically the very same format that we run here.
02:53 So we're going to have MashCrofts and Wing in it. And yeah, it's very, very exciting,
02:56 which means we can bring your food to Lancaster, from Lancaster.
03:00 And it's without worrying about the quality. So it's a very, very exciting time for us here.
03:05 So we're just in the process of locking down some chefs ready to go.
03:10 Myself, I'm going to be based out on Lancaster with a good friend of mine.
03:14 Which leads us on to our next point. So obviously we have MashCrofts, we have Wing in it.
03:19 And then as of the 1st March, we're also going to be launching SmashCrofts,
03:23 which is going to be a brand new smash burger takeaway business out of Lancaster,
03:28 which we are really excited about. So we've been going through loads and loads of back end stuff.
03:33 So we've got some really, really interesting burgers going on the menu, which is going to be pretty exciting.
03:38 Everything from peppercorn burgers to burgers made out of doughnuts with jam and peanut butter.
03:45 It's going to be wild. We're very excited about it.
03:48 But yeah, as I say, we've been putting a lot of hard work in the back end.
03:52 Obviously, I know we've had a couple of days off this week. It's our first day opening this week.
03:56 For a number of reasons, I have actually, unfortunately, I've actually had pneumonia, which has been tough.
04:01 But we've also been working hard on the back end as well, just to get everything right and ready for the beginning of March.
04:07 But yeah, we're very, very excited to get this launched, guys.
