00:00 >> See, there's a big controversy or difference of opinion regarding
00:05 Daniel Jones and if he's the guy moving forward.
00:08 Again, the offensive line play wasn't that great last year.
00:12 Let's be honest here.
00:14 But when you look at Daniel Jones, the year that he had in 2022 and
00:18 then the year that he had in 2023 before the injury set in, did he regress or
00:22 was it just the circumstances around him?
00:26 >> Well, that's a tough question because you can't say the way he played,
00:31 especially towards the second half of 2022 and say, okay,
00:34 this guy isn't a good quarterback and we're not gonna pay him any money.
00:37 Doesn't make any sense, right?
00:38 If you're watching, you're like, okay, this guy can play, he's good with his feet.
00:43 Acura Paso can do a lot of things.
00:46 But then you look at what happened last year.
00:49 And once you get paid that amount of money as a quarterback or
00:53 as a player, you can't blame things on everybody else.
01:00 You understand what I mean?
01:01 You're the guy and you have to find a way to deliver because that's the way you're
01:06 getting paid, right?
01:07 You see what all these other quarterbacks do.
01:09 You see Patrick Mahomes a lot of times.
01:12 Maybe his receivers are dropping the ball and people were giving him a pass.
01:15 But out here in my world, in the media world, I said no,
01:18 he's getting paid $50 million a year.
01:20 He's getting paid that money to make everybody else right.
01:24 So if you're getting paid at the higher echelon of the quarterbacks or
01:28 where he is, 40 million bucks a year, that's a lot of money.
01:32 He has to perform better than he performed last year and
01:35 he has to play the way he played in 2022.
01:38 But ultimately, I believe he's fully capable of doing that, man.
01:41 He's a fantastic guy, smart guy, has all the ability in the world and
01:45 he's a very hard worker.
01:47 Everybody who I talk to about him says he works tirelessly.
01:51 So there's no way he's not gonna be able to turn that around if given
01:54 the opportunity.
