New bookstore opens in Manila  Vibal Group, led by its president, Kristine Mandigma, Chief Operating Officer Jed Marinas, and Megaworld Lifestyle Malls Assistant Vice President Mark Louie Sta. Ana cut the ribbon at the opening of 'Fine Philippine Books,' at the Chinatown Museum in Manila on Friday, Feb. 23, 2024. The bookstore features Philippine history and culture published by Vibal. Sta. Ana said they hope that the partnership will lead to more "Fine Philippine Books" stores nationwide. 00:37 In this day and age where technology is in the forefront,

00:42 there is a time where books are no longer a part of our daily lifestyle.

00:52 And for me, because I grew up with turning the pages of the books,

00:59 bringing it to school, buying it in the bookstore.

01:03 So the ductility of holding the pages, the smell of the ink in the pages when you turn it,

01:09 it's different. Your feeling is different.

01:11 And like travel, it takes you back to certain times.

01:17 It makes you experience the times in the medieval times, in the pre-war era.

01:27 So it gives you a snapshot of our history.

01:31 And also takes you forward in time, what we envision the future is.

01:39 So these things we need to also introduce to our kids.

01:44 And I think with the partnership with Vival and Megaworld Lifestyle Mall,

01:48 we have been always supporting these kind of initiatives.

01:52 Now where our malls are not only malls for you to do shopping, dining, and spend time with your family.
