Service Caravan for film, broadcast workers   The Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair holds its mini-Service Caravan for Film and Broadcast Workers at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City on Sunday, giving 23 different service programs and cash aid to 15,000 movie, TV and Radio workers.  MMDA Chairman Romando Artes, former Interior secretary Benhur Abalos, and Sen. Bong Revilla attended the event.   In separate interviews with The Manila Times, Quezon City Rep. Juan Carlos ‘Arjo’ Atayde and Marikina Rep. Stella Quimbo stressed the importance of giving aid to film and broadcast workers. 00:00You know, when I came in earlier, I was overwhelmed.

00:05It's a different feeling when you face your fellow countrymen, where I come from, here in this industry.

00:20Industry of movies, industry of television and radio.

00:26My fellow countrymen, there is no Bong Rebilla, no Ramon Rebilla, if not for this industry.

00:37Now I can see these people.

00:40Really.

00:42Many of my fellow countrymen are now senior citizens.

00:46We're almost there.

00:49But you will reach our expanded centenarian law.

00:53Congressman Romulo, I'm here with Congressman Romulo to congratulate you.

00:58My fellow countrymen, we are so blessed.

01:02And our beloved President, and our Speaker of the House, Speaker Martin Romulantes,

01:09I will never forget you.

01:11Because I, as your Senator, am with Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao,

01:20who are sharing aid for our fellow countrymen.

01:24This DPSF, Bagong Pilipinas Servicio Fair, which benefits millions of Filipinos.

01:34Our creative sector, actually many of them are informal.

01:40They don't have an SSS.

01:44So what DPSF is doing is providing basic services to them.

01:50So that's the good advantage that DPSF has for them.

01:55And let's remember during the pandemic, they were the ones who made us happy.

02:00But they are pitiful because they were the ones who were left behind.

02:05So let's give this sector a chance.

02:09So that's the good thing that DPSF has.

02:11The DPSF has much more to offer.

02:14We have a lot of departments.

02:17We have so many people to help right now.

02:19This is the television radio.

02:21And building the city where I came from, it is very close to my heart.

02:24So definitely this is very important because like we said,

02:28our industry will expand if only it is supported by the government.

02:32And of course, it will be a big help to our economy as explained a while ago.

02:36To all other businesses that will be affected, our industry will have a big impact on the economy.
