00:00 Congratulations, Briley Northern Raiders, Women's Cricket Champions for this season.
00:04 How are you guys feeling?
00:05 So excited.
00:06 So excited.
00:07 So good.
00:08 So good.
00:09 It means a lot.
00:10 It's four years coming, you know, since the start of this competition we've been here.
00:13 You know, probably started at the bottom and now we're at the top and that's, to get there,
00:17 that's an awesome feeling.
00:19 And with all these people in the team who are now, you know, all my best friends and
00:23 love to be around, it's an awesome feeling.
00:25 And Grace, you had a special innings out there.
00:28 You had to retire on 61.
00:30 How are you feeling about your contribution?
00:32 Oh, I just, it's great to actually be able to contribute.
00:35 It's such a great team.
00:37 We've got so many contributors.
00:39 And it just really caps off a really good season for us.
00:42 How are you, Matt?
00:43 What did you make of Grace's innings today?
00:45 Oh, well I batted with her from the other end and she was absolutely smoking them.
00:48 I just thought, well, if I get her on strike, she'll be good here.
00:51 So that went pretty well for a while.
00:52 Kept apologising.
00:53 She did keep apologising and I said, you're hitting them for four.
00:56 What's the apology for?
00:57 It's good to watch.
00:58 It's good to watch from a coaching point of view.
01:00 You want that top innings in a fight.
01:02 It just relaxes everyone.
01:03 Everyone's nervous.
01:04 I'm so proud of her.
01:06 That's the highest score that a Briley woman's ever made.
01:09 And I made sure she knew that when she came off.
01:13 So I'm really, really proud of her and it just caps off an awesome season that she's had.
01:17 I think that's over 300 runs you've hit now.
01:19 Crazy.
01:20 Yeah.
01:21 Definitely.
01:22 And Carly and Matt, you guys are moving to Geelong, so finishing on a high at the club.
01:26 What does it mean to you guys personally to send off this way?
01:31 I think it's good.
01:32 It's something that probably I have wanted to do for a while is help out the women's stuff.
01:37 I kind of started this year, I kind of thought, we should just do it.
01:40 It's fun.
01:41 I know a lot of the girls.
01:43 And to get here, to make the Grand Finals, awesome in itself, and to win it's even better.
01:48 So the girls deserve it.
01:49 They're such an easy squad to get along with and they just have so much fun.
01:53 To win in our last game, we're the top squad.
01:56 Matt's been here since pretty much, how old are you?
01:59 12, 13?
02:00 10.
02:01 I'm on 10.
02:02 Yeah, I've been here for a while.
02:03 So for him to get this premiership, for me, as his partner, I'm really, really, really proud of him
02:08 and all the effort that he's put in for us this year.
02:10 He's improved everyone out of sight with his coaching and it's been so much fun having him around.
02:18 I'm so grateful, agree, that he's made such a fun, happy environment, which makes winning easy.
02:24 Yeah, I've been really impressed with these two.
02:27 They put so much work into the team.
02:30 They're always encouraging, very passionate, and yeah, you can't ask for anything more than a coaching cap.
02:39 Well, congratulations to us.
02:41 We'll let you go celebrate.
02:42 Thank you.
